We have read books and heard myths of the miracle, that time can be controlled, and that we can jump back or even FORWARD to a point in time, to see, feel and breathe in the air of the world from the past and future, This Highly advanced Orgone using Device, will proof that the barriers of time can be broken, Having worked together with the engineer, and preparing everything for the; "Great Night" where the century will burn, and the clock will stop to tick, This highly toxic, powerful yet genius Device shall be our backup plan, incase something goes wrong... We might have to take the risk, to go back to a point before the night, where we could go back and fix... our mistake. This shall be one of my last entries. The Pigs are grunting and hungry for the flesh, and the Machine is boiling.

Hello everyone this is another update where I'll talk a bit about the progression on the mod and things that are going on behind the scenes!
Just discussing a few things that are going on in the Production of Amnesia: Loner Mansion.

Finished the demo finally as I said I would when you originally asked me. I just took my sweet *** time doing so, but here it is:
- Some of the areas are pretty neat, like the parts where you can see outside and the tesla levels near the end.
- The mansion areas especially on the other hand, are pretty empty and most of them seem to serve no purpose at the moment, other than turning one lever or using a key. You should spice these up a little.
- The voice acting throughout the mod has surprisingly good quality keep it up!
- Notes are a mess. It feels like they were written by a different person than the voice acting, with bad grammar and most of them don't make sense.
Also most of the notes should be added as mementos basically, like in AMFP. You can add notes or even diary with code if you check out HPL scripts.
- Expand the story, make a proper background for the character. Don't try to align it too much with the original story, it should be its own thing!
- Monster encounters were okay, but there should be some buildup with scares, or something more happening in maps other than a simple puzzle each. Nothing surprised me in this department, which I think can be helped.
- The lack of music sometimes made the problemous levels even boring at points, but when you used them, they were well executed.
That's about it I think! More outside areas please, and just make the existing interiors more interesting/longer if you can, with more details and things to do. It's a very good start for a first mod otherwise!
Oh and! Please don't make the full conversion mod this way, I had to make a bat file myself, and the mandus lantern refused to work no matter what I did. Look up a proper tutorial on setting up an ISOLATED fc mod, I can even help you out with tips if needed, as I've done a bunch.
Good luck for the final release!
PS: well ****, you literally updated the mod today when I played the previous version :D if some of the things I mentioned were already solved than I'm sorry for being this late.
Heya! I was Very glad when I saw your message today, I'm quite excited that you tried it out, I really appreciate all the constructive criticism, it has alot of points with wich I agree with tottaly. I have gone down recently a bit with working full time on the mod since Work and irl stuff :p, so this was just a small release of work I've been trying to get out and show the people that follow this mod. The Offical Demo (the old one you played) indeed has ALOT of issues, wich I fixed quite a big amount of in the Extended demo, but again, fitting in all of the story elements has been quite hard too, since on one hand you need to get scripting done, and on the other you need good level design, and with that all comming from a single creator, it's sometimes alot of work that needs to be done lol. I myself, have been aware that this Costum Story will not be finished any time soon, and hopefully soon in the future. I'll try my best to fix old things, and also creating new stuff to the Costum Story :D, thank you for taking your time! (Sorry for the late response I barely had time this week to respond)
I'll admit I'm a tech moron, but I had to google how to change launch options, etc. This was a first.
However, I've got it running finally. It's fantastic. And thanks for the perpetual lantern. These AMFP mods are always so dark.
Finished the demo, and I got pleasantly surprised! I won't be writing anything very long here, but some things I want to point out are below. Positives:
-I got surprised for how terrifying it was
-You are a decently good voice actor!
-Notes felt really out of place and most of them demand proofreading
-Some places lacked details
-The second map was very average with lacking lighting
Other that those three things, no real bad things to say. This somehow reminded me of White Night with it's design. I am tracking this project now, this was a promising start. Best of luck with the development!
How on earth did this remind you of White Night??
The abstract design gave me the vibes
Hey There! Thank you for your Very amazing comment/review of my demo! I'm very happy to hear, you liked alot of the things, and also, I like the criticism you gave, it's true that I place alot of notes, but it's kinda my way on giving some useful info the player. xD But I will definetly work on reducing the notes, working on better lighting, and adding more stuff to the maps, and thank you for complimenting my voice acting skills! (I kinda think, I could do better <:D)
with the notes I did not mean that there are too many notes, but rather that they don't fit the environment they're in, in as unfitting to the story. As a majority of them were placed on floors and whereever, it felt a bit "unnatural". Otherwise there were nothing wrong with them apart from proofreading.
If you ever need any more voice acting for this mod, you can count on me! I love contributing to mod projects!
Hey sounds pretty cool! I'll let you know as soon as possbile if theres someone that you could give a voice too ^^ (currently I'm still deep into writing the story and characters so it's kinda difficult with characters and their voices n stuff.)
