Amnesia: Black Keys was originally supposed to be a short custom story - approximately an hour - using ideas from a custom story I never released nor finished that is Long Way Down. The first "Black Keys" was only made of a big mansion map, very well designed, but even if it was pretty and immersive, it was at my taste boring and not unusual at all and quite useless - a boring "mansionbase" custom story with eerie evenments and A:AMFP assets.
Amnesia: Black Keys is now becoming a more ambitious project and it is taking me as time as Long Way Down did a few years ago. It has now the purpose to be an original - nevertheless pretty with eerie evenments - and immersive custom story, with reflexions over the artist figure, his work and life, all that with classical music, paintings, poetry, and inspiration from Layers of Fear and some easter eggs.
There is actually two alternate endings, the second ending is unlockable by finding all the Poems pages in hidden and tricky places. Moreover, finding Poems pages will not only change the ending but also the game and story. Reading some notes or doing some actions can also change the game.

I haven't given news from my mod because I was moving to a new home and a new university and so had quite a lot of things to do - that does not mean I haven't worked on Black Keys!
I am creating new interior levels and also thinking about removing the outside levels that are at my taste empty and pointless and don't fit with the mod. My first purpose was to make a big realistic London-like town during day with A:AMFP assets, but alas, Amnesia doesn't seems to be the game to do that kind of things.
Finally, the Custom Story will be released in 2018 as I have quite a lot of ideas and I don't want to scamp it. A demo could come in november to show the first "chapter" and have constructive and useful reviews from you, players.

Scrolled through the Mods page a while ago and stumbled upon this gem. Doing the same thing now and it reminded me of my hype that I had before. I hope things have gotten better for you, and I'm still looking forward to this!
If you need any further ideas, play Amadeus and try the piano puzzle. You could potentially work something like that into this CS, based on the protagonist being a pianist.
I've been working a lot the last six months and it's going to be like this for a long time now. I'm still working on this project but it is really hard to find the time and motivation by now.
With my first custom story I never released I could by the time take a full day to work only on a single map, and now barely an hour for a week. I've got nevertheless some inspiration from Dishonored and other stuff, sure it will help!
