In this FULL CONVERSION mod, you take on the role of Alex, a regular middle aged man whose life was seemingly normal until he began having a series of strange dreams leading him back to the boarding school he grew up in to find out what really happened - and the truth, no matter how deep he had it buried in his mind, no matter how hard he had tried to forget, will surface. Will he be able to deal with what comes to light? Or will the darkness of his past be the last thing he will ever experience?

Amnesia: Back To School
Amnesia: The Dark Descent is an amazing game to start learning how to develop games. The modding system for the game is perfect to begin with programming, level design, 3D implementation and more.
Amnesia: Back To School will be a full conversation mod, meaning that while the gameplay mechanics will still be the same as in Amnesia, we will completely rework the graphics, enemies, story, items and everything else and make it a unique experience for all who choose to play it.
It will contain code that is complex, and code that is simple, we will have concept art for it, a custom soundtrack and all that would be needed for an actual game - except it will be free to play and all developers are unpaid.
I am the lead developer of the mod, and will be coordinating the new members who are joining as trainees. As such, I will be your support as you enter the world of modding and development and will be available to you for any questions and other support that you might require.
I will also be actively working on some of the more complex parts of the mod.
The mod's release date is planned for the latter half of 2020, so I am hoping to be able to work with members that are quick learners and as eager to complete the mod as I am.

Despite what people might be thinking, and because we haven't updated in a year, we are actively working on this mod still. As specified previously, we won't be releasing before 2020 because this is a training mod :)

Damn, 2020 release. Hope that it will ot die. I have very high and higher expectations for this
I'm quite certain it won't die. As we use it as a training mod for our new developers the development time has been elongated but we want to make sure that the quality, despite the use as training mod, will be high and up to our standards. I doubt we could accomplish this any more quickly!
While it certainly sounds interesting, I am somewhat concerned about the release date. 2020? Like, the community is already a fraction of what it was. In 2 years time, you may not have anyone around to play it.

I know, Richy. I'm a modder myself. I'm just concerned that maybe no one will be around to play it in a couple of years, which would be a shame since the mod seems interesting.
That would indeed be a shame.
But I believe there will still be enough people around to play it then. :)
Indeed. Well, the mod is our project to help teach people who want to get into game development and modding, and with this being a teaching project, we can't expect the development time we would have if we just did it with an experienced team unfortunately.
