A fanmade continuation of the original post-apocalyptic North America mod for Crusader Kings 2. Fully compatible with CK2 Patch 2.8.1 and the Jade Dragon DLC. Play anywhere in North America, the Caribbean, or the northern coast of South America in the year 2666, centuries after a cataclysmic Event knocked human civilization back to the medieval era. Featuring over a thousand provinces, 47 different religions (most of which are unique to AtE), and 31 different culture groups. (Not individual cultures - culture groups.)

Hey guys! Sorry for not making this announcement earlier, but I wanted to wait until I was done with the first few hotfixes.

We've changed a bunch of stuff in this version, but if I had to sum up the biggest changes, it would be these:

  • Added two new religions to the map - Candomble and Druidic
  • Added five new counties to the map and redrew several other counties
  • Added new societies - monastic orders for Catholics, Evangelicals, Anglicans, Ursulines, Jews, Mormons, Hindus, and Cetics; a Bankers' Guild that's available to everyone regardless of DLC; and an improved version of the Hermetic society - the Ivy League.
  • Changed Mormonism - the mainstream variant of the religion no longer has polygamy, but a new heresy, the Woolleyites, are all about it. There is a religious head for every form of Mormonism that either always exists or can be formed via decision.
  • Added holy orders for nearly every on-map religions (besides Raven Tales). However, some of them only appear via event after certain conditions have been fulfilled, such as the loss of an important holy site.

Adds over half a dozen new societies, a new pagan religion, and honestly more changes than I can fit here.

Uhm Dev, nobody is joining any of the societies anymore. Yes, at startup they have a wide membership, but 60 years into the game you will find nobody in any society. My character is chief officer of the banker's guild, and sole remaining member. Is there something in defines, or an ai_modifier that one can tweak to get them to join again?

I tried booting it up with 2.8.1 and it crashes on the loading screen when reached "Loading Graphics".

My submod chosen was everything except for the Mongol Facepack (as I had Jade Dragon, Sunset Invasion, African Portraits etc...)

I also tried disabling all the associated portrait DLCs (including Jade Dragon) and disabling all the submods (only the Fork Mod) and it produced the same crash while it reached "Loading Graphics".

Checking the exceptions log and the dump file showed that it tried to access a virtual address it had no access to

does the mod work now? even with the latest update because mine also crash on startup.

It should work fine now. This seemed to be a common issue with the initial version. In future, please make sure you delete absolutely every file from the old version of the mod before installing a new version.

I think the issue is that the mod is for version 2.8.1 but most of us have the game on version 2.8.3 hence it does not work, it crash immediately upon completion of loading. If you can update the mod for ck2 v 2.8.3, it might work.
