A full scale submod for Absolute Corruption 2.4 that enhances the original with improved AI, better models and graphics, UGC compatibility, and more features and content. You MUST have Absolute Corruption Mod 2.4 installed (and preferably backed up) before installing this add-on. I will be listening to feedback and making adjustments.
Many of you have been asking whether we will put Absolute Chaos 2.0 on Steam workshop. After some foot dragging, we've decided to take the plunge! Expect to find us there at some point this week. It goes without saying, of course, that we will remain active here on Moddb also.
With the addition of last year's patches, and with additional patches potentially coming down the pike, the Steam version of EaW/FoC is now markedly superior to the retail version in terms of performance, stability, features, and mod support. Consequently, the disc version of this game is likely destined for the dustbin. Hence, from here on out, the mod will be designed with Steam specifications in mind rather than retail, as was the case with the mod up until the present. This will give us more latitude to expand the game with even larger GCs, more features, and better game play.
In case you have been living under a rock, you should know that you can get the Steam version of EaW/FoC for under $10 dollars until May 8th. If you only have GOG or retail, seriously consider dropping a few more dollars to get the STEAM version- you won't regret it, especially after you get a taste of the superior performance. And remember: when you buy this game, you are not just buying the original games featured in the Gold Pack- you are buying unlimited access to a massive library of awesome free content courtesy of the mod community.
It should also be noted that the Steam version has fixed the bug that freezes your units....
We've all been there when we had massive fleets we couldn't move because the game derped.
And it also runs a lot better- its just a better way to experience this game all the way around.
