incidentally, has anyone tried loading models of this quality into warband? What's stopping them?

Yes, with enough work it can be made to look good. Though you need to put in work to edit the textures and models to fit Warband. Though it will never look as good as with pbr textures.

This is jaw-dropping quality. Best I ever did see.

Minor criticism: the render seems a bit awkwardly cropped. Show me the whole model!

It's a joy to look at. Any chance for a turnaround model (I don't know the technical term)?

My rigging was kind of half assed since it was only for this pose, so the back was messy :p But I cleaned it up a bit

This is absolutely amazing made, I don't think a high company would make it better than this. Well done, best one I seen so far of the Galadhrim armors.

Definitively my favorite one yet! The textures especially are glorious! Are you planning to include them in the siege of Hornburg?

No, but the player can set it up themselves in the campaign or custom battle.

Looks great!

I hope that if you model the Mirkwood elves at some point though, that you'd use green instead of red as it was in the hobbit films, as it would make more sense for the wood elves to wear green. The designs don't always have to be 1 on 1 with the films if they are a bit flawed at points.

We usually follow Lord of the Rings designs pretty strictly, though Hobbit designs we are more open to changing.
Green for the Woodelves is something we will consider.

Thank God, you will not be inspired by The Hobbit movies (like boars, ogres...)
however the palace guards are pretty successful in my opinion
Love you guys

The problem there is green armour wouldn't be possible unless you completely changed their armour design. Unfortunately, such a change leads to other, unwanted changes.

The WR's armour was made from wood - not metal (or anything green, for that matter...) - and so is a brownish red (based on the trees in the area). Of course, there are some metal pieces (such as the edges of different sections, if you know what I mean. Check up on some close up pics if you don't) to make the armour stronger and more durable.

If the redish brown is an issue, it is of course possible to change it for a darker brown without compromising too much.

P.S. This model is stunning!

We won't be having wooden armour. Leather and steel designed to look like wood.

This looks better than anything that has ever been put in any LOTR game, TBH.
Have you thought about releasing these models as assets for other mods to use?

There´s a multitude of games which they could be used for in mods, such as TW:3 Kingdoms, TW:Attila, Skyrim, Imperator: Rome, etc. etc.

Yes we thought about it and considered it. In the end I decided for my models that they will remain unique to KoA. If I give them to other mods before I can even put it into Bannerlord, I wouldn't really be making it for KoA. After we release KoA, this is something I will reconsider.

Ah, thx for considering it.

It´d be a shame especially for those distinctive armours from the movies to not be in every LOTR mod out there, as I doubt anyone will surpass their quality anytime soon, though I understand why you´d want your unique designs to stay in KoA.

Let´s hope for a swift completion of Bannerlord so we can see these models in game!

Yeah, the movies and books both have plenty to offer, the movies with great visuals and the books with much more depth in the world. Thankfully as a team we have the ability to pick and choose what we add.
