Re uploading the mod due to fixes i had to made and adjustments i added.
Public test release for the kushan taiidan somtaaw and beast
I realize its been 8 yrs since the last release and alot has happened that originally kept me from doing anything with the project up until now. I recently got a PC up and running again and started picking up modding again and over the last week or so i got kushan, taiidan edited and added beast and somtaaw. I was able to get assets from herocrafter to get the beast and somtaaw teams in, and in addition i was able to get a new model scaffold to use as a shipyard for the kushan and somtaaw. The taiidan got the QwaarJet II cruiser and vanaarjet added in since herocrafter converted them over to HWRM and i was also able to get the taiidan super carrier from him as well. Currently the AI for somtaaw and beast do not function correctly unless you shut off research. So otherwise for the player its fine to use em as is, kushan and taiidan are up and running for the AI. Hiigaran and Vaygr have not been edited at all so they will get trashed by the other 4 teams at present. Also the turanic raiders are not rdy to be used either so avoid using em. This is the public test build releasing as of now for players to try it out and see how they feel about the 4 teams that have been added and updated. I am planning on adding the following races after this point, Turanics, Kadeshi, Progenitor, Taiidan Republic and after that we will see. Taiidan republic will probably be next since i already got those assets thanks to permission from Dom2. I will be adding more ships to each team, and ship classes to each team. Mostly stuff i used in the original classic mod. Also thanks to herocrafter for redoing the Raider ascendant mothership and siege cruiser i have those assets as well and they will be put into the turanic team. So stay tuned for more updates.
-fixed the beast fleet to include 2 carriers instead of 1 at game start, fixed issue with kushan and taiidan human players being unable to research corvettes. Added in game music player you can access by hitting the F1 Key and press it again to close it. Soundtracks from the classic mod of HWU are included ranging from HW1 HWC and HW2.
Welcome back man. Its awesome to have you back, I hope things are going better. I've been eagerly awaiting this mods return, I'm gonna reinstall HW2RM right now so I can test this out.
things are better since im on SSI which means im not working so i got nothing but time now since im considered disabled, not physically speaking and it took me awhile to get a PC put together because of one thing i got addicted to mobile gaming for about over 3 yrs which ate what money i got after i paid rent, managed to get away from them when i heard that HW3 was supposed to be releasing in 2023, started saving money in 2022 and bought my parts over time and now im sporting a pc that has a ryzen 5800X cpu 3060TI GPU 32 gb ram, 1 tb SSD 2 TB HDD and a 1k Watt PSU. And i got a pretty nice monitor to boot. Anyways was disappointed when they delayed the game hope it doesnt get cancelled or what not cause embracer has been shutting down projects left and right. Anyways ill probably be adding the republic taiidan here next so just need to figure out how to get them in and they should be good to go.
EDIT i actually just got the entire republic taiidan team is as we speak just need to edit them stat wise etc.
Good to hear you're getting your **** together, so to speak. Are you updating the Steam Workshop page as well, or is it just moddb for now?
both, also just to give you and anyone else a heads up if you encounter red squares that end up replacing the ships icons etc its because you got more than 4 races in the match, icons will disappear at 5 races and out right crash at 6 races in a match. Sadly it seems theres a limit to how many you can have in a match, cause of the fact that we are working with a 32bit engine and theres the memory limit to deal with.

regarding this one just put the .big file in your data folder and then edit your properties for steam with the following command line.
-mod Homeworlduniverse-1.1.big
you may need an - in front of the H im not sure thou been awhile
happy to say im working on the progenitor team now, got the foundry ship and mololus sleeper in.

Alright they both work now. I had to fully delete my workshop folder and re-subscribe. But it starts now, so progress!
oh right i had to do the same thing actually, also i just got the taiidan republic fully in now just need to edit stats, DPS etc
everyone can disregard my warning about not being able to have more than 4 different races on a different map, turned out it was my texture limit setting, i had set to 8k plus and i reduced it to 2048 and i was able to do 6 just fine.
