Your eyes slowly adjust to the gloom but immediately start to sting. Dust and plaster has fallen down from the ceiling, and you taste it in your dry mouth. Slowly the ceiling lights flicker on as the emergency generator starts up, and people begin to pick themselves up... ...Its August 9th. You've just survived the biggest killer of man in history. In 30 minutes, 3.6 billion people have died across the globe. Unknown to you, the population of the UK has quartered, and will continue to drop. You think briefly of your family before being dragged onto your feet by your platoon sergeant... "Come on son, there's work to be done!" Comes the gruff voice from the dark... but not yet... for now we wait... in the dark...

Molotovs? this game is shaping up to be really cool. I wouldnt mind seeing some ww2 antiques coming out...nothing like a smle (insert correct spelling, and i should know this) or an american garand. think saddam on balcony with old style rifle.

Actually the Sten was bloody awful, however it's replacement, the Sterling, was far better. I believe they still had (and perhaps still have as of 2010, not sure) Sterlings in service in 1985.

For those of you who don't know what a Sterling is, I guarantee you've seen one and not realised. With a few modifications to make them look more 'sci-fi' they were used as the E-11 Stormtrooper Blaster in Star Wars.

A Bren would be a bit troublesome, ammunition wise, as it takes .303 rather than 7.62mm NATO. Not a wise idea to lug around 2 types of ammunition. However I could definitely see L4A1's being used. They were basically Brens rebored to 7.62mm NATO.
