It goes up to normal prices after you progress to a certain point in the main quest, and then goes up again after selling a certain amount of prisoners

Do Featherless Arrow's mindreading and get his incredible magic throwing stones. Best weapon in the whole mod, IMO. Lei Heng gives a good 2H podao, as does Green Eyed Tiger. And Blue Faced Beast gives a good lance. Long Armed Ape gives legendary boots and Knife Wielding Demon gives a Charisma/Leadership hat. Most of the other rewards are stat boosts or masterwork/lordly weapons or armor.

The really good legendaries come randomly from battles, though. You also have a small chance to loot the enemy hero's personal gear by beating him in the pre-battle duel. The Dajin leader Shi Wengong has the best polearm in the mod that you can only get that way. In fact, all his gear is top tier, but he's one of the strongest heroes in the mod, so don't try him till you're well-equipped and ready for a tough fight.

There are also rewards for doing pretty much any repeatable action repeatedly. Like if you sell enough prisoners to the cannibal slave trader in Henan, he'll give you a legendary hammer. If you upgrade enough weapons with Gold Coin Spotted Leopard, he gives you a pair of double hammers. If you beat up the belligerent drunk in taverns enough times, you get one of the best 1H swords in the mod. Fair warning though, the belligerent drunk can be very tough in this mod. He changes his gear and gets stronger each time you run into him.

The only one who has bullets for the gun is the guy who gave it to you. They're not sold in any shops, but there's a very small possibility that you could get lucky and loot them off of him in battle. Or you can recruit him into your party and just steal his bullets, but then he won't have any. I just treat the gun as a stat booster for my weaker companions. They'll never shoot it, but it does have a decent stat boost

I believe the new translation is just a straight google translation. So it does fill in a lot of what used to be placeholder text but it mangles the stuff that was already translated.

You should be able to revert to the old translation by grabbing the older files from "languages/EN" in 0.955 and copying them into the same folder in 0.962

This mod throws a ton of free points at you from legendary gear, mindreading rewards and achievements. Its not hard at all to get up past 45 Strength and Agility, and when you go on fire from dueling in battles, you get another big attribute buff. So by the late game, you'll be smacking those guys around like they're nothing.

It sounds kind of like a New Game+ kind of thing, where you can save your legendaries from one playthrough and send them to a new playthrough.

I'm absolutely thrilled to see an update to this most excellent mod, even if its just a small one. I really hope you keep working on it.

The files aren't really packed right. You need to extract all the files from the .rar into a new folder named "108 Heroes" or whatever you want to call it, and then put that folder in the Modules folder.

Its not the "Plasma Launcher Chip" that the T-11 cyborg companion has, is it? That's the closest thing I've seen to a plasma cannon

I found a bug. When you capture one of the wandering army bosses, and then choose take his gear in exchange for his freedom, he gives you 2 sets of his stuff, but remains your prisoner, so you can keep on taking copies of all his stuff over and over again. The other options that i've tried, like the 200K or the order license seem, to work right and he leaves afterwards

Also, another thing, not a bug, but the whole situation that happens when you get captured and then the enemy leader lets you go free and gives you the entire army that just beat you is very cool when it happens, but it seems to happen every single time and it makes losing battles more profitable than winning them. Something like that should be a rare surprise, with other more negative outcomes being much more common.

Also, when you're beaten by one of the big roaming armies with a hero boss, not only do you get to keep his army when you lose, but the boss joins your army as a companion. Again, its very cool, but it doesn't seem like that's supposed to happen.

Also, where do you find a Plasma Cannon to make the Plasma Shotgun? I'm in the 10k scenario and have searched everywhere and haven't seen any. Is it just very rare or does it not exist in this setting?

I didn't find the regular lords to be that op in 1.99. Haven't gotten far enough to fight them in the latest patch. However, in my previous game, i had companion mutation turned off, and that might have also disabled mutation for the lords too. So it could be that over the course of a game, the lords are going through multiple mutation cycles and building up huge amounts of strength which would make them hard to take out.

Now wandering army bosses, those guys are insanely op. In my last run, I somehow managed to get both the bosses of the Technomages and the Pirate Haunters into my party as companions, and both of them were virtually invincible. I've seen them kill hundreds of high tier troops on their own and they just never die no matter what. Trying to fight them in kumite tournaments is impossible, i couldn't do any damage to them at all. I did find that the best weapon for dealing with those kinds of guys is the Persuadatron. Its easily the most OP weapon in the game. I even used it on Ketele and made her turn on her own doomsday army for an easy win.

I haven't played the 10k scenario, but if they still sell Persuadatrons, you should get one and keep it on you just for those situations. Level up your Manipulation skill too and you'll be able to reverse the mind-hacks and even hack their own troops.

"Yesterday 1 soldier managed to take down 67 enemies easily, this makes no sense."

You think that's crazy? Wait til you try to fight some of the minor faction army leaders. Through a weird fluke of getting captured, I wound up with the leaders of both the Pirate Hunters and the Technomages as my companions and those guys are both unstoppable monsters. Had a siege battle against the Alien Samurai faction, about 300 of my guys vs 2000-man siege army. All my guys were wounded pretty quick except those 2 guys who proceeded to massacre all 2000 enemies on their own. And they were all pretty high tier enemies too.

karolgrodecki It would be a fun addition to the mod if you added hero killcounts to the after-battle report. If you don't know what I mean, its like how Prophesy of Pendor or A New Dawn show the after-battle report. PoP just lists the heroes' kills, but A New Dawn lists it for every troop. Its fun to see just how deadly everyone is.

Where do you get the special books, like the ones you need for crafting or to make your own order? The regular booksellers don't sell them. I got a couple books as a companion quest reward. Is that the only way to get them?

well, I'm at 100 relations with the Cultists because of my low honor, so Ketele spawned right near me and then walked right on by. I was busy defending a siege so I didn't mess with her at the time, but now she's wandered off and i have no idea where she's at. Does her spawning have an effect on the world (beside the obvious effect of her giant army wrecking things)?

She did turn a few companions against me, so i got rid of them. Will those brainwashed companions really try to kill me or is it just the loss of morale? I kept one of the brainwashed companions and charmed him back into loving me, but i'm curious if he'll do something at some point.

Thanks for the reply. You're right. Omicron's been at "Winds of Death" plague level, so I guess that explains it. Thankfully I've finally got that sorted out. I'd already lost I don't know how many hundreds of men to it. I've refilled the garrison about 4 times already.

Speaking of plagues and terrible events, it would be good if there was a pop-up message telling you when plague or a rebellion hits one of your fiefs. The messages scroll past the log so fast that its real easy to miss and you turn around and your fief's gone.

About the honor thing, I love that you made dishonorable play style viable. Mine's totally in the toilet from all the slave trading, but now I've got all these outlaw bands patrolling my territory and helping me out. I only just realized that I could bribe my way into the good graces of some of the groups that hated me before, so now I've also got the Justice League and the Cybermages on my side too and its great to be able to trade and hire troops from the ransom brokers. Its such a deep system. Its a lot of fun.

I use it all the time with the various travelling merchants. It gets me better prices when i make them like me. i also like to use it sometimes to terrorize enemy lords when i'm feeling sadistic. Its a fun system.

Yeah, i've been trying to make friends with them but its not easy. Sent a companion out on a mission to improve relations but he failed and made it worse. They hate my guts because my honor's so low from all the slave trading.

I do have a new problem. I'm losing money and i can't explain why. If i add up my income and expenses from the weekly budget screen (screenshot below), i should be making around 25k, but instead I'm losing 70k. No idea what's going on here.

I've had good results in both kinds of tournaments. I've done about 5 of the regulat ones and bunch more Kumites, and no crashes yet. Of course, now that i say that I'll probably start crashing left and right.

The giant Justice League army is a Pirate Hunters Brigade party. 4312 troops and no prisoners, so probably a freshly spawned party. I'm in the 6077 campaign. Day 86. Its also 503 on the doomsday clock, so maybe that's the cause?

Fantastic update. I'm really loving the new features like the companion missions and the diplomacy. There's so much depth here. I love it. And the game seems a lot more stable than older versions. Only had one CTD so far and that was on a massive siege battle, so its understandable. Tournaments used to always crash on me but now they're fine.

If I have one gripe, its that there aren't enough reinforcement waves in battles and sieges. It makes big battles get tedious since in each round you're only fighting around 2-300 guys at most and some of the armies are running around with thousands of troops. There's currently a Justice League army of 4500 wandering around my territory and I'm reluctant to fight them because it will probably take 2 hours to get through all those rounds. It also makes those huge armies much easier than they should be since you get your health and ammo and all your routed ranged units back each round and with high tactics skill the odds are usually in your favor even if their total army way outnumbers yours. It would be excellent if there was an option to set the total number of reinforcement waves.

It also takes 3 days for each training session, which is a pretty long time to be out of action while the world goes on without you. If you own your own kingdom, those 3 days are far more expensive than the 10k. You could come out of training with 1 extra skillpoint and have lost your whole kingdom if you're not careful. So its not like you can really do it unlimitedly.

My questioned about grenades disappeared off the download page, so I'll ask again here. So the Greek Fire Grenade does 30b damage and the Naft Grenade does 10b, but they're both the same price for 2 bombs. Are they supposed to be equivalent in power? Like does the Naft grenade have a bigger explosion than the Greek Fire to make up for the lower base damage? Or is the explosion damage not related to the base damage at all? Just trying to work out which kind is better.
