I recommend you extract the zip-file and just copy the entire gamedata-folder to where you installed Call of Chernobyl. That way all files, folders and subfolders in "gamedata" needed for this mod will be included and be correctly named.

For example, "factions_quick_travel.ltx" should be located in "plugins", not "plugin".

Also make sure you have the latest version of CoC. Either 1.4.22 or 1.5r6, otherwise i cannot guarantee the addon will work properly.

The way I would try to troubleshoot this is to try and launch the game with no addons except More Fast Travel Locations. If it works, then you know its an incompatibility issue with one of your other addons, if not, then its an issue with your installation of CoC.

If it is an incompatibility issue with one of your other addons, then add them back one by one and test the game between each installation, that way you will find out which addon is causing the issue. I remember there used to be a problem with an older version of Smurths Dynamic Hud using an incompatible xrGame.dll-file. So perhaps check that addon first.

Also, sorry for the late reply. I have been away doing military service for a few months.

How to add a custom fast travel point:

1. Launch CoC in debug mode. Create a shortcut to the Stalker-CoC.exe and add the text -dbg to the target field outside of the quotation marks.

2. Launch CoC, go into options -> UI/HUD and enable Debug HUD.

3. Open up the PDA, now you will see all locations that can be added as fast travel ponts as the letter T in a circle. Hover the cursor over them too see their designation.

4. Add that designation to the file "faction_quick_travel.ltx" under each faction you want to be able to fast travel there.

5. Done

I can confirm that the fast travel weight limit does not take weight limit increasing artifacts into account.

However, Im afraid I do not have the knowledge to fix this bug myself either. The limitation to fast traveling when overloaded was implemented in the vanilla script, it was not added by me.

As a workaround, you do have the option to disable the limitation and allow fast travel when overloaded from the Options menu. To do so, load into a game, then go to Menu > Options > Game and check the box "Fast travel if overweight".

Most likely you are using the mod in "Visited only"-mode. This means that only the locations you have previously visited is available as fast travel points. You can change it to "Show all" under Menu > Options > Game > Fast Travel after you have loaded into a save. See the pictures in the full description of the mod for further clarification.

Yes, but you need to use the version adapted for Call of Misery. You can find it here: Moddb.com

Could you provide any details regarding the crash? Any error messages or similar? It is difficult to try and guess what could be wrong without any details.

The menu setings are not in the CoM version of the addon, they are only in the CoC version. The CoC version was updated with these features (currently v8), while this addon has remained on the same level as v4 of the CoC-addon.

I will update the description to mention this, as the statement "It does exactly the same thing as the Call of Chernobyl-version" is no longer true.

Im glad you got it to work. It seems very likely that not having CoC 1.4.16 before installing CoM 1.0d was the issue, since the fast travel feature was added in patch 1.4.16. Good day to you aswell!

Alright, that does seem to indicate that the built in fast travel feature somehow is missing in your installation.

May I ask, where did you install CoM from? And what version was your original install (aka since what version have you been using patches to update)?

Also, if you have the time (and HD space) you could extract the CoM database using this database converter: Moddb.com

Then go to unpacked/configs/ui and check for map_spots.xml, if you have the file open it and check if there is a fast travel section at row 110. (If you are using an editor that does not show row-numbers, you can use Windows Notepad and enable an indicator under "View").

If the files, or the fast travel section of the file, is missing, then we can confirm that your install is different from what this addon was made for.

If you want to get the version that I am using (which does have the vanilla fast travel feature built in) I used the official procedure described on the CoM webpage, which is:

1. Download CoC 1.4.12 Moddb.com

2. Patch it to 1.4.16 Moddb.com

3. Download 1.0d fix 2 and install in over CoC 1.4.16, overwriting any files. Moddb.com

My bad, I forgot to mention that without the script-file you need to be standing on a fast-travel location and then save+reload save in order for the marker to appear. It is a bug in the vanilla fast-travel system in CoC/CoM that is fixed by the script file.

I suggest you start a new game as a Clear Sky member, then start at their main base in the swamp, this should make the marker in that base appear instantly as you load in. Then run out and stand in the middle of the Fishing Hamlet, reload save (this should make a marker appear at the Hamlet) then try fast-traveling back to the main base and back to the Hamlet.

The map_spots.xml is integrated into the database. In order to check whether it is there you need to extract the database using the database converter: Moddb.com

First of all, make sure you are using the 1.0d fix 2 version of COM.

You could try using the mod without the modified fast_travel.script file and only using the faction_quick_travel.ltx. This will make you need to manually discover all the fast travel points, but it might make you avoid a crash (in the case there is something in the modified script being incompatible with your game). In case you try it out, feel free to tell me if it worked or not, as it would be very useful for me to know.

Im guesing you are trying to use this addon with Call of Pripyat, which will not work. This is an addon for Call of Chernobyl (a standalone game built upon Call of Pripyat), there is no steam-version of Call of Chernobyl.

Looking at the log provided by Cheeki, it appears the issue is caused by an incompatible map_spots.xml. Are you using any mods that happen to change the map_spots.xml? More fast travel locations are meant to be used with the vanilla file.

This is a really neat application! Adds a bit more to do when playing the game.

I would love to see this integrated into CoC (with an option to turn it off ofc), to remove the need of running two executables at the same time, and also bring more people into the chat.

That was odd. It works fine for me with the latest version of CoM (1.0d fix 2). Nothing regarding the fast travel system has been changed since 1.0d.

My guess is that you used the "faction_quick_travel.ltx"-file but not the "fast_travel.script". That will work with CoM, but the game will use the vanilla system for discovering fast-travel locations, which is bugged causing many of them not to appear.

Here is a version of this mod that is fully compatible with CoM: Moddb.com

As far as I can tell the UI has new textures. They are more brown colored and rusty-looking than vanilla which is more blue/grey-themed.

May I ask, where can one find this repo?

Making a search I found this repo: Bitbucket.org but it only contains the configs and scripts folders. I also found a post with this dropbox link: Dropbox.com but it has been blocked for "generating too much traffic".

As an frequent modder and addon-creator it would be extremely useful to have access to a public CoC-repository.
