In my opinion the CIS is very easy to play, with the Republic being more difficult to play. I do realize the republic certainly has an advantage farther into play, but the CIS is good to play from beginning to end. Personally I find this to be good play actually. 2 separate play-styles really. The republic must be a good defender until they have the tech to win, whereas the CIS just needs to keep up a constant pressure to outlast.

Agreed! With just a little skill, I find the GC to be easy and fun. I see the republic at war mod to be easy to beat in many ways. Comes with being a tactician :)

I understand the troubles people are having with the AI in GC, but, I myself, have no problems with it personally. I get along fine :)

I have been loyally playing your mod SINCE it's release and I'm happy to see where it has gone, and all the tremendous work your team has placed into it. As a serious fan of the mod, I would like to thank you all for the dedication, hard work, and the quality of the mod. I know you guys may get a lot of hash for the "time" it takes, so I wanted to thank you guys for the patience you have had.

Might this be the Galactic Conquest you're talking about? Or are you referring to skirmish modes?

I'm not sure of your exact issue, but I have witnessed similar problems. To be specific, the AI literally does close to nothing except spam the original starting units or use the same hero, UNTIL, they reach the final tech level. For instance, if you play with an AI Ally, and play against 2 AI's (this is true for any difficulty level I've seen so far, and I have countless weeks of playtime on this game) you can easily cream them yourself, and your AI will do next to nothing, HOWEVER, when you upgrade the base level the AI then begins to show it's true colors, they will even upgrade the base level after the first base upgrade, so after that first one (this is land specifically by the way) you can go ahead and let the AI play alongside you. The AI DOES actually do the first base upgrade by itself, it just takes it and AWFULLY long time to get to it... Just as a side note from my personal experiences playing the mod, if you just wait like maybe.. 4 minutes before you start the first base upgrade, the game on land suddenly becomes significantly more intense, otherwise if you upgrade to early, your AI will actually completely destroy the other team by itself before you realize it. Just a little tip, if you're looking for a lasting and exciting skirmish on land.

forgot to mention this as I play CIS a lot, but on the blue moon days when I play republic the same goes for then as well, my ally just brings in the poor clones repeatedly to be, again, slaughtered. While I attack/defend against the CIS army which will of course become the victor eventually if I keep playing for a slow hour on the constant defend.

P.S. sorry for the huge space taken in posting just thought about throwing in my cent and a half. maybe it's a bug, maybe it's not.

I personally have noticed a problem, it does have something to do with AI power, however it's not hte fact that they are too difficult certainly not that hard just it's the fact that when even if I set my all to be medium OR hard and the enemy is easy (and I check this as I press the 'p' key to check on the allies credits) even though the AI always has that insanely large sum of cash as they always have had but my ally does ALMOST nothing most of the game leaving me with one slow but steady rate of income to take on two infinitely paid for AI systems with aggressive qualities. Making it very difficult to have fun when I'm defending and attacking with half an army and half the income against the very well done enemy AI. just saying maybe there's a bug with the ally AI or something?

Edit: as an example, the enemy and I begin to clash at eachother with our equally impressive abilites me vs the 2 of them while my ally.. just brings in 2 units of B1's letting them slaughter themselves in battle, then reproducing the occasion multiple times even, until I get to like lvl 3 or so base lvl. OR the base gets swarmed and they begin the (50/50 chance) usage of droidekas which would be about 30 minutes in or so.

it is only available when you build the (I think it's this station) Republic High Command
if you select 'custom maps' before you start, you will always have a larger 'satellite' type structure always near your base. and if you select republic High Command as the structure to be built you get options like the victory and the Star Destroyer and so on.

Darn, couldn't edit in time.. well anyhow upon further play, I restarted, a separate map, and everything seemed back to normal, the reason for the strange glitch or bug might be due to me using the galaxy creator map I created in game with the mod on (not the galaxy forge,just for clarification) so this (so far) seems to only be for the galaxy creator I think.. personally I dont mind not being able to use my gc maps.. but thought you should still know. and I'll see if I can recreate the problem and screenshot it for you!

Just thought I'd add a little comment considering this patch. now if you meant to, just disregard this totally. However, all Capital ships for the NR are free. no Lommite, or credits or anything. I haven't seen for the other empires though personally.

I am also having issues with planets and so on as I only have the arctic, and E.C planet upgrades witch of course has no effect on the Hydrocarbon or gas giants and so on I can only really colonize carbon planets with the E.C upgrade on any of the factions.
