I purposely set sentry guns to last for only a short period of time because they are really over-powered against zombies, and cannot be destroyed by them either.

I sure hope this game isn't dead. :( I'm really looking forward to it. But their website seems to be gone, and there hasn't been any update in 5 months... Hopefully it's still going strong! This is one of my most anticipated games right now! It looks quite awesome! :D

Yeah.. I forgot to remove vehicles from some of the maps before I released them.. x_x

In infection, if you get killed you become a zombie. In regular, if you get killed, you stay human.

That's an odd bug that also happened to me every once in awhile and I could never figure out how to fix it.. If you're playing Infection, try normal, and if not, try infection.. Though I don't really know much more of a fix than that... sorry. :(

I'm honestly not really sure. I've never tried to set up a server, I only learned ho0w to make the server files and put them up here so others could setup servers. Bfeditor.org probably has some tutorials on it though.

You need to download Tofu Zombies 1.0 and 1.0.5 to play. :)

Just curious as to why this is under custom built?? The screenshots look like they're from the Unity engine, and it has a page on here so you should file your game under than and it would get more attention. :)

You are starting the game by going into multiplayer and then starting a local game, correct?

I like the left one better. If you make the eye on the right one like it is on the left, then I'd probably like the right one better.

That's strange.. Could you please tell me how you're starting a game, on what map, and if anything strange happens prior to the crash? It could also be the number of bots overloading your computer. What are your specs?

Shotgun Ammo: Yeah, I have already changed that for the next patch to 20 shots.

APM Mines: I have already changed that for the next patch to 10 mines. They will also have the ability to stick to things like RDX does.

Resupplying Sentry Guns: This was done on purpose so that the Humans can't just set up a wall of turrets which they could replace once the got destroyed.

Sniper Stabilizers: I am working on finding a way to force this into the player's kit.

Zombie Pathfinding Bugs: These I cannot fix as they are issues with the pathfinding in bf2142 as well as the AI pathfinding stuff on the maps themselves. The game was meant for the AI to have ranged weapons, and so they can't get everywhere since usually they could just snipe at you or throw grenades, but in the zombie mod this does not happen, so bugs like this do occur quite often. :/ However I am working on a possible ranged weapon for the zombies, which might help with that.

Baur HAR: I will look into making this more balanced.

Does it crash when you try to create a server on vanilla (un-modded) 2142 as well? If not, here is something you can try: Go into My Documents, then into the 2142 folder, then into the mods folder, and finally find and delete the Tofu_Zombie folder from inside of there. Now try running the mod again. If that doesn't work I'm not quite sure what the problem could be..

Sound: Yes that is normal. I'm trying to find a replacement.

Zombie Tips: Yes, I haven't added the actual video yet. Just re-named the button. ;)

That's really strange. Have you tried re-installing the mod? Does it crash with every map or only a certain one? Does your vanilla 2142 work correctly? The only thing I can think to suggest would be a complete re-install of 2142.. But that's a real pain, so I will keep thinking up possible fixes.

This is a problem that many people are experiencing with 2142 right now. It is not a problem with the mod, but with EA's servers. It will log you in but takes 5-8 minutes to do so.

Ok I think I know your problem. To play alone go to multiplayer, then click on local and create a server from there. Singleplayer itself does not work. ;) I will clarify this in the hotfix.

It is safe to use, and yes you will be able to if you follow the instructions here: Forums.electronicarts.co.uk

Here is something you can try: Go into My Documents, then into the 2142 folder, then into the mods folder, and finally find and delete the Tofu_Zombie folder from inside of there. Now try running the mod again. If it still crashes, then hopefully my small hotfix, which I am releasing tomorrow, will fix this issue.

Hmm I am not sure what is happening.. Try uninstalling the mod and re-installing it. Check in the following folder: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods and if you see a tofu_zombies folder after running the uninstaller (found in your start menu under the tofu zombies mod folder) then delete that and re-install the mod. If that does not solve your problem then please try starting 2142 normally, going into the community tab, clicking on custom games, and then running the mod from there. If it still crashes, then I would try updating 2142 to BETA patch 1.51.

Yes, but as of now there is not a server that runs it. Well, actually there is, but it has not updated, so as of now, not that I know of unless another clan puts one up. However, if you know how to play 2142 over Hamachi, then that should work.

Well, to be frank, it's not as in depth as any of the bf2 ones. I just don't know enough or have enough time to do that. In terms of the 2142 ones, Tofu Zombies is different because when I changed it from being a combination of Zombie Community and the original zombie mod it was because I wanted to make a more realistic zombie mod. This mod gives zombies realistic weapons (no flame throwing hands, or laser shooting mouths) but also gives them unique weapons (claws, and the different knives). The survivors have kits built around giving each different kit a tactical advantage over the others. When playing as a squad against a large number of zombies in a high zombie ticket game, your squad will succeed best and be the most effective with an equal balance of kits. You can't defend yourself well without using the sniper and engineer kits, and without support and medic you will all die or run out of ammo. The aim of my mod is to give a more realistic experience and difficulty, not just a bunch of chaotic zombie slaughters. And that is what sets this mod apart from the other 2142 zombie mods.

Haha :) Well it's a long story that in short is that tofu is my dog's nickname, and so I made Tofu Zombies Mod, my username tofugames, and everything else that I use that has the word Tofu in it for that reason. I actually don't really like the actual food tofu very much.. :/
