This isn’t the same team that made the original mod. This is a revival of sorts, to go beyond what the original creator (Tim) made and correct its mistakes. It’s the same mod in functionality and looks only, but with extra content. You can trust these guys.

Hello, I have a question regarding adding NPCs into a game. Upon launching multiplayer and starting a solo game, I pressed escape and there was no option to add or remove NPCs, only the stock multiplayer menu. Is this a feature as of yet? I am running the game on steam with the launch parameters set to start this mod since the .bat file bundled with the mod only starts singleplayer since multiplayer only works through the steam client for odd reasons. This is a wonderful mod and a fitting redemption; any help is greatly appreciated.

This mod is definitely not dead. Despite the last update being from late 2016, Anakin has been updating in the comments and responding to those who have questions. Be patient, it will pay off. This mod is very much alive.

No, I'm still around and developing, albeit very slowly due to school. Development will speed up this weekend and an early alpha version should surface in the coming weeks! I posted an article and it should appear soon.

Yes, a beta will be included. Development is going on albeit slowly with school going on.

Thank you, although I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Do you mind providing a link?

That's what I'm doing, I just need to prevent naval ships from joining aerial battles over land.

You can play as the Axis so yes, technically.

Thank you! I was very surprised that it had never been done before as well.

I will try to implement the individual unit system, as seen in the Clone Wars mod. As of yet, I haven't found a way to get infantry to fire while moving, but I'll keep looking. There, however, will be planes available in ground combat, as snow speeders are. The unit cap will be raised, and most units will take up only one unit slot. There, given the expansiveness of WWII, will be a large variety of units as well as varied terrain.

Ground combat will be simple, of course, and that is the plan for space battles. I'm not sure, however, how I will work out removing inland space battles. The galaxy map will be changed to a world map, but you can't have a naval battle in Berlin, haha. So that's really the only technical hurdle so far. I know that when a planet is destroyed by the Death Star (which I will aim for changing to a nuclear bomb in this mod) in vanilla, only space battles work on the planet from then on, but I'm not sure if it is possible to only make ground battles available on planets. I will have to research either how to prevent naval ships from entering inland battles so that only planes and a ground mesh remain, or removing space battles altogether for inland locations. Rebels also have the ability to raid planets and skip space battles in vanilla, and that may be able to be exploited for this mod. Thanks for commenting!
