I don't expect this to be easily found at all, but it would be amazing to have an option to skip animations for stuff like the longer summons.

Oh wow @ the filesize limit breaks (pun intended). It reminds me of expanding SNES roms for games like Super Demo World.
Oh... sweet!
Haha, I wonder which will be harder between this and FF6 EvilType.
I really appreciate you taking the time to stabilize the game before making a public release, so I'm fine with the extra wait.
Would these new mechanics be outlined in the Beginner/Intermediate Halls, or in a readme? I'm interested in how much of the game's text might get changed, since I like that kind of stuff.
Well then, I suppose it would be useful on the undead! =P
Sweet! I always hated losing my streak to those green dinosaur things in the Battle Square just because my accessory broke.
Oh, I probably should've read the article first. So Night doesn't put the other guys to sleep... Kind of makes me wish Rippler was in here, so you could give the Dark status to your enemy afterwards.
-Libra makes sense and is easily recognizable, as would be Analyze if it fits. I like it.
-W-Item is basically trying to say "Double Item" or "2x Item". Well, I guess FF7 fans would be more used to their W's. I wonder if "2x Summon" or "2x Sumn" would fit?
-I like "Control" more than "Hypno.", since I'm a big fan of VI.
-So if E.Skill is Blue Magic, does that make "Magic"... Red Magic? lol (kidding)
I'm looking forward to more of these updates!
So now we're playing Pokemon? Haha, sounds interesting. I wonder if it still runs off the Magic stat, or if it can use the user's Attack instead?
Night would be interesting to see, though its effectiveness would work best on large groups (compared to Frog Song, if that's still around) so we won't get to see how useful it'll be until we know what enemies are weak vs. sleep. Also, Sleep protection limits more of your options in VII (accessory or 2 linked materia slots), as you just need 5 stones for it in IX.
Now you have Gravira on there twice! I see you changed Gravara, but you don't have to make it that obvious X)
*shrugs*
I read them word-for-word, unless I'm in a hurry and trust the developer. Doesn't mean I understand them though, haha.
Humans weak against Holy sounds like a statement about the nature of Man, haha. I can't argue about the convenience of balancing the elements to 2 weaknesses per class, though. If it weren't for plants and insects, I'd say humans could be weak vs. fire (due to clothing usually being flammable), but then again it wouldn't be very smart to wear flammable material in a fight involving magic.
Of the arguments for status effects, Sleep's makes the most sense. It still seems like a lot of those statuses should work on humans, but it could be written off as Shinra soldiers coming prepared with a status-protection accessory (since it's not like they're uncommon).
*nods*
The PSX version needs the most improvement, anyway.
Haha, "Quaga"... I think Quakera and Quakega would fit better. The same would go for Gravira. Bio still looks and sounds weird in that format, though.
I don't mind the new names even though I grew up with FF4/6, since I've played the hell out of 8 too. I'm really looking forward to this!
