The mapping in this mod was pretty well-done. It was pretty short though. Maybe 10 minutes worth of gameplay at the least. You can really tell how old the engine branch that this mod is using is. A bunch of menu options are out of place, the ability to adjust the game difficulty is non-existent and in general it's a little bit janky due to the lack of updates.

This map was copied, generously modified and used in Kill The Monk, which was far more successful than this mod. I instantly recognized the map as soon as I loaded up the game.

The combat was a little tricky for me due to the unadjustable difficulty, and enemies were sometimes oddly placed. Game-design wise there isn't much to complain about, considering how short this mod is. The combat could be better maybe. I died a lot since it only takes a few bullets. You'll probably die a lot to the helicopter.

I think the mapping is the main showcase of this mod. Pretty solid. Not anything spectacular, it's just good that it doesn't look like a high school project. There's actually only 1 map in this.

Lately the joke mod genre has been really dry. I miss the good old days when it was thriving. Surprisingly though, when this mod came out I didn't play it immediately. I suppose I was a little skeptical because it was a Gasmask Citizen meme mod. My friend was actually the one who suggested this to me. I don't really play mods that much anymore tbh.

That out of the way, let me actually review the mod.

Let me start by saying this mod blew me away. At first it was just kind of a basic mod with not too much going on. Some weapon reskins, a story and such. That's basically all I saw in the short gameplay clips, so my hopes weren't the highest they could be. It definitely starts off slow, but pulls you in over time. It's just basic combat at first but further into the mod is when it really shines. You could tell that this mod was made over a period of months, and the creator started to really enjoy working on it because it completely shifts directions. They put ton of effort into this mod and it was really enjoyable to play. It took a drastic turn in terms of This mod is special. I should've seriously played it sooner. Definitely worth downloading. Believe me, I have a lot of experience with joke mods and this one stuck out. Play it!

You know what was first appealing about this mod for me? It was something actually different. I always see the same old Half-Life 2 shooter mods.

I saw this and it seemed actually different from everything else of recent.

It's short, but it's polished and it plays nice. As the author says it is an abstract mod, it's a little trippy and has some simple puzzles and weird, nice aesthetic and then it ends.

I thought it was cool, it looks really nice too, and it experiments with some neat concepts. Overall it's pretty solid and I don't see anything wrong with it. But in my opinion I would've liked to see this longer. It's about as long as a demo.

I'd like to see where this goes in the future and what the creator will make. This is a neat little mod.

This mod was pretty short. It reminds me of P.T a little except it takes place in an apartment and weird things are happening. Kinda like a Garry's Mod survival map. Basically you're supposed to survive a bunch of spooky paranormal stuff and I don't really know if it happened randomly or not but it was interesting.

This isn't like SOMA level scary. I never really got spooked, no adrenaline or anything like that. Sometimes you hear banging at a door, sometimes doors open, lights turn off, and more creepy stuff happens.

The map was pretty well polished and I liked the ambience, but it really didn't go on for that long, and nothing that interesting happened. No otherworld, no chase, no new rooms popping out of nowhere. Nothing reality breaking really.

I would love to see the creator expand on the idea and make it longer and more eventful. I wanna see like otherworldly events and reality twisting around me. I wanna see backrooms.avi stuff.

Overall the mod was cool, I just wish it was longer. The idea has room to be expanded on.

A classic in the joke mod genre. The levels are usually pretty basic but man, there were a LOT of memorable moments. There are also a bunch of funny weapons and some mechanics added, which is actually quite impressive considering that it's very hard to implement those features into source. Not only is it memorable, it's very unique. Definitely play this mod.

I don't know how to start. There is loads of polish, great story and great gameplay. The maps have so much effort put into them. And it's quite long too. When I say loads of polish, I MEAN IT! There are tons of custom models all packed into the map, it's almost as if it was made by a team of people. But NOPE! Just one person.

Just 2 maps, crammed full of enemies. No scripts or anything. Trash.

I know that this is probably not going to get updated. But besides that, this is a short and simple joke mod. People might consider this a shitpost because of how short it is. But no. Despite the short length, nothing in the mod was bad, thus, I give it an 8. It's 4 very short maps, with no real story, just a few memes here and there. I haven't seen any REAL joke mods at all in the past year. Apart from shitposts. Such as: rarusauce, 2 half and an early version of the dredile mod. I guess this mod is worth it if you're feeling sick from not having enough joke mods.

This is much better than Mugging Sim 2017, while Mugging Sim 2017 only had 3 maps that were pretty good, it wasn't long enough. It was about 25 minutes of gameplay. Mugging Sim 2018 adds 3 more maps, that are also very well designed for a joke mod, I liked them. These maps are actually all part of a story, but I thought they were all very good. Short, but a very fun experience. I hope the creator makes another one.

Now I check ModDB regularly for any new joke mods, (which have been scarce). And when I saw this, I thought why not? This is a big troll, its not meant to even be a mod, its just a bunch of broken maps, and this could've got a lot of attention like Gordon Freakman if it was made well. This is a steaming pile of garbage, and i'm sure that the creator intended it to be that way, better wait for the PTSD mod 2 I guess. There are only like 3 broken maps and the last one has fake missing textures to top it all off. This isn't a joke mod, it's a shitpost mod. I'm disappointed.
