Yes, 97 is up for a full release. Unfortunately, this release has been stalled. There's a lot of cool stuff on the table, but I'm not 100% on what's going to make it in. Otherwise, I'd put up some patch notes for you all to read. All I can say is... soon™

All demons except Imps give runes, but certain death animations do not give the reward. Make a killing blow with the sacrificial dagger against a Pinky or something bigger, and you'll get runes if the animation was not bugged. Runes are also not awarded if you shatter a frozen demon.

Daedolon will be getting his Hexen weapons. Bloodscourge is every bit as exciting as his attack magic! He's also getting ultimate spells which are invoked from the heptagram. I personally can't wait for those! Among them is Black Sun, and it can be seen at the end of the trailer. Lastly, his attack magic will receive a few more additions/upgrades, such as improved Quick Spell enchantments, a daisy-chained lightning spell (a first for Doom), and a lightning kick that can be used while levitating. I'm not sure when this stuff will go into a public release.

Baratus (Paladin) will not be getting any holy magic. This is being reserved for Parius.

Only thing I'm sure about is Daedolon cannot use heavy weapons. For some reason, the Chaingun is not considered a heavy weapon, and I don't believe the rifles will be getting imbues.

I definitely agree that Frozen Orb was far, far more dangerous to the player and too difficult to kill enemies with. I'm hoping Lothar will allow my revisions. I disabled the killing mists and cranked the shard damage way up. This is exactly what the spell needed. You can see how effective it is in the trailer. I'll see about uploading an addon that includes my revisions. I'll do this for the next release as well should Frozen Orb not be improved.

Ice walls are super awesome! Did you know you can teleport through them? Also, with pin-point accuracy, you can impale enemies, trapping them in the air. It seems to work best against flyers. Lothar liked the idea of expanding this quirk.

There are so many planned and considered features, it makes my head spin!

Imbued SSG sounds pretty badass! I'll look into that.

Orbiters are in need of a major balance pass, consistency overhaul, and bugfixing. Currently, they're all over the place, which you seem to have have noticed with Frost Orbiters ;). Resistances are bugged in one way or another for every Orbiter, and the bugs aren't even consistent. I don't know why Orbiters are so scatter-brained and left in such a poor condition, but it sucks! Despite all that, their offensive damage and utility work quite well.

I don't believe there is blocking with Quietus.

Brutal deaths (including frozen kills) currently interfere with rune rewards, but it's been solved in the developer build.

If you've seen my trailer, you'll note there isn't a single mention of or scene with guns. You don't really need them if you're comfortable with all his abilities. Imbued guns are pretty powerful, but it's up to you :)

I'm not sure when the lightning attacks will be reversed on the mouse, but it's on the to-do list.

To be clear, you should be seeing artistic sprites instead of numbers as Paladin. Paladin also has lifesteal magic, but it requires Rage and it's a close-quarter maneuver. Sorry, but I don't remember the bind for it. Rage drain can be stalled by either holding attack, continually attacking, or using a stance like Bracer Blocking. Cutting up corpses also gives Rage.

I don't believe the Schism team wants to reduce the camera movements any further, as it's part of the simulated swinging physics. It's much better than it used to be!

That Beserk bug should be fixed in the next release.

Best thing to do is equip Sorcery and get used to basic spells (left-click and right-click). Making easy binds for the three quick cycle commands is very important. Undead are weak to fire. Demons are weak to lightning. Cacodemons are weak to fire. Almost everthing is weak to ice.

Rune rewards have some bugs. Some of the Brutal deaths don't reward you with runes. I'm not sure if this will be fixed in the next release.

The following should give runes: Pinkies, Cacodemons, Hell Knights, Barons, Archviles, and Dukes.

Ya, they spared no expense on those effects! FYI the effects are boosted by some custom settings in-game (including Bloom) and I'm using a third-party HDR shader.

I believe the next release will give everyone their proper legs.

Shouldn't Tactical mode get a weapon limit? For instance: pistol, 2x small (AR, SG, SSG...), 2x medium (Rocket Launcher, HMG, AA12...), 1x large (BFG, Minigun, Flame gun).
