New spell/power point system seems better, like it was in BFME I I suppose. It's more reasonable, because now it must be more harder and challenging to get them in first place. In last version you didin't even notice that you gained them.

Maybe not Badger-Brock. I've played Total war Third age and I think Rebels are just scattered troops with no allegiance to anyone. They couldn't never build a faction.

I think the best faction for Alatar and Pallando would be evil men faction (Harad/Rhun), because if I remember correctly Pallando and Alatar travelled far away to the east and south in third age and they may be had some kind of cults of their own and they lasted longer than Sauron himself.

They would be great Ringheroes for evil men if there is ever going to be a faction like that. But in the end team behind the edain mod will decide that.

Well, I heard that people in here are sharing faction-tactics, so I'm going to share guaranteed victory-tactic for Rohan. (I've always won with it in multiplayer)

Step 1: buy castle flag upgrade, buy Merry as a cheap first hero and build three farms side by side as unit producers.
(Also build more farms to the surrounding areas)

Step 2: Recruit peasants periodically, let them 'attackmove' towards enemy camp and let them destroy anything or anyone on their way. The goal is to take battle to enemy's camp.

Step 3: When enemy is busy in destroying them, build more structures. Buy more units to help your peasant troops, recruit heroes and put the hero to lead your peasant hordes. (Enemy cannot see your heroes when they are in middle of your peasant army, and they can't target your heroes so easily)

Step 4: when you get more resources change your peasant troops as Rohirrim (do not buy peasants anymore)

Step 5: Be arrogant as possible to expand.

Step 6: Spam lot of siege equipment to finish your enemy!

You have won!

Yes I agree, but if Edain-team are intending to create one another good faction, I think it would be wise to make "Free peoples of Eriador" which combines Arnor and all other tiny peoples in the region including Bree and Hobbits. As myself I would want to play as Arnor in every map. But in the end Edain-team to rule them all, Edain-team to find them, Edain-team to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

They are probably meaning Harad/Easterling (evil men) faction as a tenth, which yet does not exist.

Here is another silly, but urgent question.

I have played hundreds of times as Lothlorien in last versions, but I've never understood how to use elf singers and nature mages. They are really expensive and useless when you had to make quick decisions (like in multiplayer battles against human player) Sometimes I lose them somewhere in the battlefield (they do not stand out from other troops) and then I realize that my enemy has already killed them minutes ago. How frustrating is that?!

So here is my suggestion... Is it possible to make them be able to join with other troops like some units in Mordor and Isengard? Nature mages ability is to make units unable to rush over your allies. Singers just heal their joined units. (also other abilities)

There is also hero-quick selecting screen. There could be room for those units when there is no builders in next version. This would really help to find them in hour of need.

I just hope so, still we can't be completely sure when that moment comes.

This is really discouraging to say this but I'm not so confident as you do before someone from the team assures that it will be released soon. It takes time to make great mod as we all have seen.

But really good work with the rabbit sleigh of Radagast it is an excellent addition for the next version. I hope we will see some bone breakers and other amusing torture machines for the Goblin King in future updates.

I used to create maps for this mod with the worldbuilder, hopefully you do not delete units what you do not need as example Builders, dwarven miners, etc. You do not need them in actual game, but these are essential things to create places such as dwarven underground tunnels or cities.

This is not necessary, but is it possible?

I think those ideas are great Aron 1488! You have done great job!

But I think something is still missing... As example evil men faction needs powerful ringheroes. I suggest that Alatar and Pallando could use the ring, because after all they are wizards who went east and south and they have power to handle ring of power if they only wanted to do so.

In 3.8 edain version goblins were able to choose their chieftain. Evil men should also be able to choose who could be a cult leader in their faction (tolkiens books mentioned that one or both of the wizards were corrupted and they started a cult which lasted longer than Sauron himself). That would give either to Alatar or Pallando more unique abilities and perhaps followng servants like Angamars sorcerers have. It also decides who would be able to carry the one ring.

Corsairs should have also another hero. In Aragorns youth he fights against Master of Harbour. Aragorn slays him and sets all Umbar ships on fire.

Master of Harbour should be cheap but fearsome foe. He could be lethal black coloured bundle of muscles with a axe and light armour. Evil men should have a powerful cheap hero like Isengard have Lurtz.

Here are some skill suggestions:

1. Level: (passive ability)Leadership: own units attack power grows by +25%
2. Level: Warcry: every enemy unit near him flees
5. Level: Throwing axe: sharp and deadly attack to one enemy
7. Level: Stunning strike: one hero couldn't move a while
9. Level: (passive ability)Defender of Docks: Buildings near Harbour Master gains +50% defence.

Well I sure would like to see Yazneg in game, but still I understand point what mod members have. If they ever place Yazneg and Fimbul in game, they will do it after second movie after thinking what player will gain controlling two new orc-heroes. Perhaps they should be cheap scouts of somekind, like gollum in mordor BME1. We must just wait. And we don´t know if Fimbul will kill Azog and become new orc-lord of Gundabad in upcoming movies. Perhaps Fimbuls second name is Bolg and he is long neglected son of the infamous Defiler.(:

I just hope Edain mod will hunt down and eradicate all EA based heroes. But at light what we have seen, I am hopeful that Drogoths time as mute Dragonlord are finally ending.

Edain team, just please: Bill, Tom and Bert could be far more interesting heroes, if you could control them as individuals, but still could buy them in one pack (like Rumil and Oropher in current version) After all many would like that they would have bigger role as marauders and outlaws with all book background.

Hey, question just popped into my mind...
Because Misty Mountains faction have no ladders or siege towers like other aggressive evil factions nor walls like Angmar, can moria and goblintown goblins scale walls? It should be no problem with small walls (but not necessary if enemy have no gates), but would make real sense if goblins could also scale to the top of those big walls in castles. This would mean that moriagoblins and denizens of goblintown could just swarm over their enemy base with pure ferocious rage. Would that be just awesome and blend naturally into goblin gameplay? Do you intend to do that?

This mod is just amazing! These graphics and system updates are unique and this could be a brand new game for Battle of middle earth. The best mod ever!

I just saw that you are needing a composer and mapper and maybe I'm the man you're looking for that consern.

I am still interested about the battle of middle earth and I do mapping with Battle of middle earth editor. I also compose music games for example and it would be wonderful to design audio for your mod.

Oh ho! That is goblin town for my liking! I didn't expect so much new features - unique building system makes gameplay interesting though. Yet goblin town camp citadel is not so finished as rest of your work. Some have suggested it could be Throne of Great Goblin. Or perhaps platform full of torture devices ( goblins were maisteri of crafting ugly and cruel things, this side of intrigation would be must for malevolent denizens of undeground, after all Elronds wive was abducted and tortured by goblins) Central piece of goblin town architecture is also trapdoors which were used to kidnap foolhardy passengers. That is hard or perhaps impossible to implement to system, but i hope you give some thought to it.
But your work is super, just know that! By the Way, is Smaug now only ringhero for faction, or can you give ring to orc chieftain, or use it to resurrect real and only Azog, Father of Orcs (not the Defiler)?Just keen to know!

Oh, jolly good, it seems my domain is in making...
Meanwhile I must say that you have made quite job. Edain mod is more like brand new game than mod. You have done far more than EA never intended! Many thanks from passionate Tolkien-fan for hobbit-themed skins, gameplay and such!

Still, would it be like more lorewise if Rohan could build
in its setlement site something like "Camp of the Red Arrow". This
camp could then summon gondorian forces to aid Rohan temporarily or you could transform your troops to elite gondorian forces? Alliance between Gondor and Rohan worked, after all, in both
direction.

Angmar still would need some siege units. Stone-throwers really don´t make justice to witchdominion which desolated Arnor and destroyed Amon Sul and Fornost. To make things more intresting in gameplay, thrall master should be capable to summon battering ram carried by hill men or orcs.

Last it would be nice if Isengard could make its outposts to be Dunland camps. In original game I missed this element in Isengard most. Only in savage wild men camp could recruit dunlendings to serve Saruman. In settlements you could also build Dunland tower to protect your troops and halt your enemies. This would mark culture differences in Isengards gameplay structure.

Well, these are just mere suggestions. Keep up your good work!

Yes... It is true but it is really shame because the game playing stradegy had to be quick with the Mordor and Isengard and there will not be any time for building the infrastructure. Thats what I and my friends enjoyed about battle of middle earth 1. I really hope that you dont do that, but it is your mod and it is lot more better than the official battle of middle earth.
