After all these years I was checking the progress on DoW modding and I find myself on this mod again. It fills me with nostalgia. I guess you'll never get rid of me

Your mod is still my favorite and the best for upgrading the vanilla races against the much improved mod races.

Unfortunately I can't get it to work nicely with the new FreeUI because the taskbar.lua files just are pretty different. Is there any hope to see it use that (and thus be compatible with newer racemods)? I tried it myself but I'm just merging the files blindly and it's not something I'll figure out anytime soon.

Is this something you can do? The comments on your taskbar.lua are full of jones' comments (which I can't even read because they're in some non-Western encoding)

Out of curiosity, what is the RAGE module?

I hope this mod will be revived someday

Warsmith's latest models are probably relevant to your mod.

I don't think there is an 'easy' way to kitbash these.

Closest I can think is to make an Autarch with Swooping Hawk animations and make that overhead shoulderplate thing like it was made for Necron Immortal/Deathmarks. You'd still have to alter the armor to have those fronal exhausts on the shoulders and model the jetpacks from behind. Rifle and clothes would have to be modeled as well.

They're a bit of a nightmare.

I suppose the Renegade Mod uses an AI based on the Imperial Guard scripts so it probably tries to play as similar possible.

It will probably get better in future versions.

I honestly thought this mod was in a much worse shape, progress-wise. I'm so glad I was wrong.

No other changes besides codex compatible? I find it a bit strange that people want this to play with Codex when that mod already has a Lost and the Damned race, which is similar enough.

To each his own, I guess. It's good news but I would've preferred the effort to have been spent on other things and leave that for later.
