The Zone is a very complicated system of traps, and they're all deadly. I don't know what's going on here in the absence of people, but the moment someone shows up, everything comes into motion. Old traps disappear and new ones emerge. Safe spots become impassable. Now your path is easy, now it's hopelessly involved. That's the Zone. It may even seem capricious. But it is what we've made it with our condition. It happened that people had to stop halfway and go back. Some of them even died on the very threshold of the room. But everything that's going on here depends not on the Zone, but on us!

Great work this is a monumental accomplishment, much appreciated. Was wondering if its possible to tweak some of the settings through simple edits of the files? Wanted to increase the range of all enemies to max, and maybe increase the duration of sprint etc...

Hey everybody, just a little update...Things have been pretty crazy with the pandemic, so I hope everyone is being safe. This is a perfect time to practice your stalker cosplay in real life, bio-suit and everything. I'll probably spend some time later today updating the mod and polishing some of the rough edges. I also plan on adding some trader .ltx files so people can have easier access to item lists for customizing their own load-outs. Ill add a change-log for anything significant.

As thoroughly explained in the mod description, readme, and comments...
YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE THE MOD YOURSELF TO SUIT YOUR DESIRES!!!
I even give a basic tutorial of how to edit the loadouts in the readme....If you want to implement your ideas/changes that YOU feel are appropriate it would probably take 2 minutes....
Besides that I have provided lower-tier options to choose from as a redundancy. Furthermore, you can simply drop the things you dont want...for example, if you like being blind at night then throw your NV goggles in the trash.

Alas, if anyone doesnt want to put the minimal effort required to change a few text lines in the .ltx file, then either dont use the mod, or there is a seperate add-on called "Better load-outs" that only adds a few more basic options but they are limited by difficulty.

Relative to the vanilla load-outs, where you go into the zone with a t-shirt and a broken pistol, yes these load-outs are overkill compared to that. The load-outs are subject to opinion. In MY opinion overkill would be fully upgraded Exo suits, railgun with infinite ammo, rpg, and 100 sci-stimpacks, etc.

The mod description fully describes all of the changes implemented. Its called "Highly improved loadouts", not "barely improved loadouts".
Basically without my mod you start as a LVL.1 Gopnik, with my mod you skip most of the grind and start as a LVL.100 Spetznaz...and if you want to start somewhere in the middle, I have even put lower-tier items to choose from that you can exchange when you get in the zone. Or make the changes that you want personally to the .ltx file.

As a quick-fix I have added more low-tier options as per your request (m4,m16,ak74u,ak74m,trench-coat,novice outfit,mercenary suit,sunrise). I will consider making a version that requires you to buy all of the equipment instead of starting with most of it. Additionally, you can simply edit the file yourself to suit your desires.

"You start with so much equipment you cant even move without dropping most of it."- INCORRECT, even when buying extra equipment, after you equip your pack and armor you should not be encumbered. The only instance may be the ecologist after buying A LOT of extra heavy things. Please do not exaggerate details as it can hurt the mod.

"additionally its all top tier equipment, you could walk straight to the end with no issue."- This is kinda the goal, though I wouldn't say its all 'top tier', only the monolith and military get 'top-tier'...I'd say its high-tier mostly. It reminds me of Dark Souls, you can get to and beat the final boss with the equipment you start with. With my mod you are a fully armored knight ready for battle, not a deprived w/ no armor and no weapons.

"you can not pick low or mid tier equipment in the loadout menu."- Pick the helmetless seva suit and an mp5, drop everything else. I originally added the ghillie suit and seva as a backup plan if anyone wanted to downgrade.

I have added more low-tier options as per your request. Additionally you can simply edit the file yourself to suit your desires...For example if you are a Loner and dont want the Famas Rifle, go in the \gamedata\configs\items\settings\new_game_loadouts, find the stalker loadout section, and simply remove the full line containing "wpn_famas".

LoL...I hear ya...but overkill would be 10m rubles, free rocket launchers with 20 rockets, and fully upgraded exo suits and 32 sci-stimpacks...So its just slightly less then overkill :p

I put extra suits and guns in the inventory section if you want to downgrade your loadout, or just give all the stuff you dont want to some random NPC :D

I have to edit the files because you cant set respawn timers past a certain number (2000?) through the game menu...Another question, I started a random spawns warfare game and everyone in the world is a rookie with an SMG...how do I make it so the initial squads spawned in are higher rank? Will adding a bonus resource boost work?

Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for all the effort put into this mod. I am recently upgrading from the 2.4 Beta...I had like 1000 hours into it so I was reluctant to update Anomaly 3.0. But I have to say this is really next level. Most of the problems have been solved as far as crashing and getting certain things to work right like spawning and A-life. Also the add-ons are too good I really hope you integrate some of the more essential/fun add-ons like "Weapon Magazines Mod", "Limb Based Health", "Death Animations", "soundscape" etc...

The new Anomaly experience is spine tingling, nerve rattling, hair raising, and adrenaline pumping...I even had PTSD flashbacks

Ill be posting my full add-ons list and some of my my recommended settings for Warfare etc later on my Profile, if anyone wants to check it out I will leave a link in another comment.

I'm also going to be releasing some add-ons of my own soon, the first being a minor rework to NPC settings that will increase their effective combat range. This will allow enemy combatants to engage the player at ranges exceeding 300meters

I replaced the /death folder in /stalker_3 with the folder from /stalker_1...Not sure what the problem was but this fixed the CTD . Though at the cost of 1/4 of the sounds I suppose

Hey I've been using this mod for awhile and its great. However, I think I get a CTD from this sometimes can you help?

Warfare is my favorite mode...Once you figure how to tune the settings to your preference the experience can become whatever you want out of it... Sometimes it can bug out or be difficult (like a squad not attacking correctly or getting stuck) but nothing game breaking.

I saw somewhere you would integrate the Barret m98 and MP7 ammo fix...but it doesnt seem to be implemented...I tried running these two mods together but they each overwrite each other so no go....any help is appreciated, is it easy to merge?...I thought I wouldnt care about the mp7 but then I found one in game and its lowkey my fav gun

I decided to use your mod because I couldnt figure out how to change the warfare settings in the /files...Everything has been moved around since 2.4. I prefer having minimal squads and the respawn timers set to 7 days. This kept warfare dynamic and smooth without over-population. The global population would grow just enough to peak and remain somewhat consistent without overcrowding the zone with too many stalkers. Generally the population ebbs and flows around 600-1300 depending on the severity of circumstances in the various zones. Anyway, long story short can I just adjust some of the numbers in configs/presets/warfare_illinaru and it will take effect?

Can you elaborate on the resource change... I thought resource points improved the quality of squads spawned by your faction. Is this incorrect? Resource points improve the quality of squads you buy from bases? BTW love the changes I could never deal with default settings.

Yes...it is glorious...if you can shoot the enemy, they can shoot you. I'm 7 days into my Iron-Man campaign with these settings. Myself, and those around me have transcended into eagle-eyed sharpshooters. You learn quickly how to stay alive...I have attained the Sharingan Eye.

If you apply the numbers from my mod to your m_stalker file, you wont have this problem...Youre problem is that NPC's CANT SEE YOU! That's why even if you shoot at them and HIT them they will just stand there and not enter combat <<apply the numbers I give here to your m_stalker file>>> then try to get into a fire fight with Military at cordon checkpoint, while AT the rookie village...

this is an add-on I made for Last Day, so you are doing me a favor with your work on Anomaly. I also wanted to ask you if the range of the enemy has a substantial effect on the damage you or that enemy take from gunfire...I may be wrong but I think I noticed that at long range 200+ meters or so taking rifle bullets to the chest do less damage? Like if I was withing 100 meters 1 shot im dead, but at extreme ranges if I take shots from large calibers it only tickles like a 9x18 (although I may not have taken a lethal shot, maybe it just grazed my arm or something).... Just wanted to thank you for this add-on (so essential holy moly), and ask about the damage mitigation due to range...Cant wait to test out 1.4, Im a sniper by playstyle and my immersion is shattered when I go to shoot someone at 300+ yards and they just sit there and ignore me while I shoot their buddy in the face.
