very good point :( i'd still love seeing more women in the zone, somehow. xrengine is such a ******* mess you'd probably have to make them their own factions just to get voicelines working (not to mention corwdsourcing good voicelines in russian/ukrainian/english) but a man can dream

you do realize that even the vanilla games (SOC iirc) implied that women were in the zone as well - in much smaller numbers, and sometimes hiding their identities, but iirc one of the duty soldiers in an exoskeleton during the freedom ambush/assault quest with the snipers is implied to be a woman. also, during the american occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan the local men would get offended because they didn't realize that the soldiers doing patdowns on their wives/daughters were female - that's what full combat gear, ballistic goggles/sunglasses and a shemagh does

contains tracks from EFT, Crysis, Half-Life, Metro, Fallout 4, CoD: MW2, Dead Space, so on. Would be cool if not for the fact that pretty much all of the tracks are cut short, and rarely feel like actual "ambient music".

So thanks Pual_Ferenc, I downloaded it and can say that it's definitely not my cup of tea, and even if it was, the tracks cutting to a dead silence all of a sudden kind of ruins it for me. Took an L for the team to tell you that it's most likely not worth it.

To the author - why? Does Anomaly have a certain length/filesize limit for ambient music tracks? I hate giving poor ratings before knowing all the reasons, but for this it's a hard pass. Very difficult to feel immersed and soak in the atmosphere of a rainy day in the Garbage when Geneburn - Countdown starts blasting, and then turns to dead silence before even reaching the end of the song.

Full Multicam is boring, but this pack is great for pick-and mixing your own preferred look for the UNISG, some green, some tan, some Multicam, etc.
Also you can always spread it around the other factions, as well, or play around with hue and saturation in paint.net - the sky's the limit.

Very true, but unlike the other factions illegally trespassing in the Zone, UNISG is a foreign military organization with clear ranks and command structures and support networks. Them just being there is essentially an undeclared invasion or war.

It's like if it turned out Area 51 was a real thing and China had stationed a group of highly-trained and heavily-armed special forces soldiers to recover all possible information and as many specimens as possible.

Furthermore, Ecologists, while friendly to all stalkers (except bandits, renegades and the different fanatics) still work for the Ukrainian government, and it's unlikely that the government of the Ukraine would be willing to let any outsiders into the Zone, considering how valuable and scientifically important those artifacts are. Furthermore, they have what is essentially a total monopoly on those different artifacts, and were they ever to restart the X-lab tests, they would have insanely powerful psychic weapons in their arsenal.

Now, if it's better for little Ukraine to have those technologies, or if it's better for the global elite and the already-bloated superpowers to complement their world-destroying nuclear arsenals with mind control devices and anti-gravity tech...

An optimist (or perhaps a Freedomer) would say we'd create a wonderful world, with almost-magical technologies and forces harnessed for the good of the common man.

A pessimist (or perhaps a Dutyer) would say that these technologies and forces (anti-gravity, room-temperature superconductors, crystals that break the laws of thermodynamics, etc...) would be used for war and bullying weaker nations first and foremost, and would lead to total authoritarianism.

A realist (I'm biased) would say that all of this, like everything in the world, would only be accessible to the rich or very rich, and the life of the average citizen would not change noticeably, apart maybe from suddenly having an urge to buy more of whatever soft drink company got their hands on the permit to use the mind control device this time.

...sorry for the rant, and I just realized I'm either being too bleak, or not bleak enough.

Still, I think that's reason enough for the Ecos to not be on good terms with ISG, or Duty for that matter - they're already focused on defending the outside world from the horrors of the Zone, and many are former Ukrainian Army personnel, with tacit support from the government.

In fact, they'd likely be the MOST opposed, considering the Ukrainian government can use them as a deniable asset or "proxy group" in order to eliminate UNISG soldiers without ever actually having to go through the public shock of Ukrainians finding out there's a foreign black-ops team operating illegally inside their borders, shooting Ukrainian soldiers and citizens, and the less the actual Army has to fight the UNISG, the better - this is "escalation-to-war"-tier stuff we're talking about.

Besides, if Duty is used as a "tool" against UNISG, then their paramilitary nature makes them even more useful - while UNISG members aren't protected by the Geneva Convention since no war has been declared, only military members are (in a way) bound by and protected by those laws (specifically treatment of prisoners - the government can order Duty to torture as much as possible, and to execute all prisoners, et cetera - there's enough layers of separation between Duty and the official stance of the Ukraine to make it easier to "wash their hands" of the situation.

Sorry if I got too nit-picky, but that's my $0.02. But I don't make rules, and you can just edit the configs yourself, lol.

Hey man. First of all, love the mod! Can't play without it.
I've been doing some variations based on it, mainly to add in camos I like more to the lowerbody, lowerbody_heavy and arm textures.
I'm currently using French Felin, Finnish M/05 and Kryptek Highlander as the patterns, since I felt those would fit the Euro aesthetic the best.
Would it be cool to post when/if it ever becomes good?

same issue, only "workaround" i've found has been to always add an extra x amount of carry weight in difficulty settings. spitballing here, but maybe it's because the game doesn't recognize the ghillie as a true backpack? while i'm by no means skilled, I could see if there would be some way of including the ghillie among the backpacks and such, maybe that would fix it? (and with my skill, break a thousand other things...)

Still, trying doesn't hurt, heh.

After quickly merging the mods, I ended up with

Any suggestions/ideas? I only know the very basics of merging and such, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Going to look through the stuff for monolith stalkers, and perhaps bring those back to vanilla just to see if that's the issue at hand or not.

(Also, not using **** since I want HD models, sadly. Heard there were female stalkers in **** tho.)

(EDIT: Changed all instances that referred to ANUS Monolith naming lists back to "GENERATE_NAME_stalker", still getting the above issue. Thoughts?)

After quick merging and failing - for some reason the game can't read the monolith name lists (name_monolow or monohigh, just seems to be general issue), dunno how to fix - ending up with bad node in heap now, will see about tomorrow. Hope this could work somehow.

Hmm... Now it seems like I'd probably have to make the character in the Darkscape sawmill (what's-his-face) a dialog provider as well so you can actually travel OUT of the Darkscape as well. I put in the missing comma, gonna playtest it now. So far, I'd be happy just being able to travel to the DS since it is annoying as **** to get to, but I'd prefer not to half-*** it. Never done anything from scratch before and I have no idea what any of this means. Fingers crossed.

Of course, if you have any other mods that edit the artifact.ltx this will notwork as intended, but if I've understood correctly you'll just have some UI issues and nothing else. Might need to take a look at artifact pricing though, might be out of whack.

Hey hey, considering how helpful Dhatri has been to me (what with the whole fast travel overhaul thingy), I figured I'd drop a little UI/compatibility patch here for people using TAZ, DOAA and ZoneExpanded - Artifacts, since using either UI file will either have your cool artifacts displayed as SKS parts in your inventory, or have your rifle take the appearance of a legendary artifact.

Please note I only recently started playing DA again and have been trying to keep it as close as possible to vanilla this time around, but if any problems arise I'll try to do my best to troubleshoot them or at least give some form of help.
