So I've been doing back to back ironman runs for all factions today. This is a brutal hard *** mode STALKER. It was super easy to install and setup. The file manager that comes with it is a nifty deal also. Большое спасибо братьям

I ditched the AA Weather addon and the blowout crash ceased. This mod has a lot more "game" feel than I've played in a STALKER in a long time. I really enjoy it. Болшое спасибо за ваш тяжелый труд.
The campfire tunes are superb.

Forgot to login. This error happens directly after the first surge I've seen in game.
DL'ing now. I assume, that if I'm going to install a full modern overhaul for SHOC, this is the one to go with. I've done the OL mods, ZoA, AA and AMK variants. This sounds drastically different. Спасибо.
Going to add an addendum to this. Just updated to 0.51, and head shots are the bomb. Minds blown.
Using this with STCOP and OA. Bleeding doesn't seem to be as gnarly as it was with ZoA, but there is a noticeable increase in lethality. It pays to take those kill shots. I'm digging it.
I like the sound of this. Seems very similar to work done in ZoA for SoC quite some time ago. I remember NPC's and the player being rather....fragile when it came to taking body and head shots. DL'ng and testing now. Thanks.
Nice. I play as Ecologist, so getting other factions to follow me around beats the heck out of an orange suited scientist all the time.
Is it bad that I feel the exact same way? I knew things weren't kosher when I didn't even see the Multitool. =/
I love more suits. Downloading now. Is this compatible with the Dynamic Mask Overlay from Call of Changes?
Master/Ironman/Hardcore/Loner*
Pretty much Ironman mode has been one the gnarliest features implemented in any STALKER. It offers a real adrenaline fueled reward to the experience.
Like the following screenshot. It's a pretty hairy spot to be and takes some semblance of effort to get to. But I died probably over 9000 times just to get there.
Making your first entrance into the Red Forest on Ironman to nearly get mauled to death by a big Chimera, then have to go toe to toe with the military is an entirely different experience. That FPS Doug, "My hands a shakin', but I'm still shootin', BOOM HEADSHOT!" kind of feel.
Latest patch, STCoP, DoctorX addons, Dynamic HUD V2, Absolute textures. So this screenshot is pretty much the most intense screenshot I've taken in STALKER since Windows XP. Master/Hardcore/Loner, about 4 in game days spent skittering around praying to the Monolith that the next moment may not be my last. Pinch enough pennies to make a visit to Forester. Creepin' quiet, bump face first into this grunt in the bushes. Great violence ensues. Slaughtering him and his entire squad in a spastic display of "I WILL LIVE THIS DAY". Tier 4 all my gear at Forester's. Managed to drag out a few more days and still alive. Just thought I'd share and say thanks again for this bad *** amalgamation of STALKER. Such is life in the Zone.
I'm an avid bolt action .22 shooter in real life. I don't think there's a cooler purpose built .22 in existence. The SV99 was designed to whack bad dudes right in the ear hole and not make a sound doing it. It would make my day to creep around on CoP tagging bandits with one of these and a PB as a sidearm. Or use it to clear out packs of blind dogs.
I have no idea where one would go to find a 3D model of one. and my 3DS/Blender skills are very sad.
Or a Ruger 10/22. Heck, any .22 for that matter.
SV-99 please? The only other games I've ever seen it in is Rogue Spear and Ghost Recon. What could possibly be cooler than pinging Bandits with a .22?

Am I the only one that thinks this is a cool idea? =/
Pets. Noah has a pet pseudodog, Clear Sky has a pet pseudodog, Lost Alpha has a friendly Izlom that talks to you and helps you along your way. Can the companion system somehow be applied to "friendly" mutants? Can we stalk across the Zone with our own pet pseudodog? Seriously, I think this would be a super cool addon/feature. I think it's Clear Sky that had the mutant hunter Duty guy with all the stuffed trophies, who told grand tales of capturing mutants to sell.
Literally just found the Mega of a bunch of addons in the comments on the main page. Sifting through that now. Read your comment about leaving for the holidays. Have fun, and good luck out there.
BLAP. And that's how that goes. The tweaks are waaayyy vicious, I love it. My Googlefu is failing me though. Where is this Faction Wars addon, or preferably, what file do I need to Notepad++ to beef up the rate of NPC's? I really want the level of violence to increase on a large scale. And really, to be honest, I'm not too worried about broken traders.
I found my favorite 5.45 AK12 on one run, have yet to find another. Kinda bummed about that.
Running AO on top of current patch. Noticed a couple things I'm fairly sure are unrelated to the AO port.
As someone else stated, I've noticed some faction traders swapped. I first noticed at the Freedom base after hearing an exorbitant amount of SVOBODA!! and gun fire. Their trader had been replaced with an unkillable Duty trader. LOL I even managed to trade with him while the entire base hosed him down, but he only had a limited amount of RU.
Sid's assassination quests breaking after killing the target. Confirms target killed with no option to turn the quest in. Similarly with Wolf's monster hunt quests, he refuses to give reward or complete quest when selecting his dialogue option confirming it.
Also, I asked earlier with no response. Are the unique artifacts(Oasis/Compass) in game. I managed to complete "Oasis Found" with no artifact spawned. I was very sad.
Also, I'm fairly certain I have not had a CTD at all that I can remember.....what the heck. Kudos for that.
Otherwise words can't express how cool this mod is. Thanks a lot to all you guys involved. I really appreciate all the hard work involved.
I did manage to get a second tier upgraded Sunrise suit, 105 and G17 as a Loner. Woke up to a Military raid on the Loner camp and got super smoked. Such is life in the Zone.
Sweet, just read the patch/tweak notes. Call me an iron masochist I guess. Seeing as how there isn't any real story line I've been playing ironman. Been pretty rough, excited to see how much rougher it's going to be with the patch and tweaks applied. Thanks again.
Smokin' the Zone hard style. Thanks for sharing. Just DL'd the "patch/tweak", will apply. Haven't noticed any of the bugs mentioned in the pastebin. Don't ever use launchers though, nor do I swap a lot of scopes around.
Oasis found. No Heart. Son, I am disappoint. =/
Oh good googly moogly. I'm excited to see what E.Nigma42 comes up with in his official release. But this is more than enough to keep me going. Thanks for sharing that.
I just noticed it btw. I'm currently on the gauss rifle quest line.
What's the deal with Flint? Deal with Flint, get it, haha. Anyway, Flint doesn't exist in my game. I got In Search of Magpie, but there's no Flint in Yanov. Is this something I did, or is this an issue others may have?
I haven't seen that sexy EBR that's in the video. =/
March is probably the gnarliest pistol I've used in a game. That VSSK is pretty much top notch too.
How does one go about making the various tritium/night sights actually glow? Is that some kind of possible overlay like the reticules for the red dots?
