The Lay D Denton Project

Mod review

Nice, must see. Maybe lead to making a pronoun mod with what's going on with gaming, now a days, using these files. :o)

Defence Alliance

Mod review

Classic team based gameplay for a mod and having everyone's favourite village map. The invading bots don't feel generic enough however. I really want to kill them.

Quake

Game review

First fully 3D first person shooter game from id Software. After Doom and Wolf3D, there was Quake. 3D realm with weapons but against Anglo themed fantasy creatures as monsters. Really straightforward, everything you wanted from a first person shooter. Too easy to feel in love with. Too short.

Doom II

Game review

Doom is back and with more levels and carnage. Doom 2 is more and less the same as Doom was. Levels are bigger, more challenge, new enemies and bosses. Doom 2 hasn't changed much in the way it looks. At least the challenge is the same and a bit different then the previous game.

Mod review

A nice add-on mission to see what the other branch of the story could have been like.

High-Resolution Unreal Skins

Mod review

Great work, it requires alot of hardware power to run however. I always play Unreal Gold on lower hardware even in this day of age and this mod couldn't barely run, my computer froze because of it. I had to resort to using a med-range computer to get it to work. It's barely noticeable however compared to the rest of the work in the entire game.

Unreal

Game review

Unreal is a first person shooter for the PC. The shooter really polishes what a 3D first person shooter should be at the time of it's release in 1998. Unlike Quake, the models and animation for those models are fluid and the game has really amazing special effects for the time. Very amazing and rendered really well when compared to a game like Quake.

The theme is generic. It's a game set in space across distant planets with a Viking mixed with a desert temple in some places with a typical space feel in other levels. At times, it is a bit generic but wouldn't expect any settings as amazing. The weapons are as imaginative as they could get. The single player campaigns takes hours to complete so for a first person shooter as distant as 1998, the game really offers a lot to explore into as expected from a game which offers a very virtual like world.
