This mod is frustratingly difficult even when adjusting the settings down in the options menu. There aren't any good ways to earn money or XP without a ton of obnoxious grind, and the increased cost for troop upgrades means that you will need to grind a lot.

I don't have the time or the patience to grind through it all and just want an easier way to jump into the experience without cheating. Is there something I'm missing here? It seems like selling prisoners to the Night's Watch would make a good source of revenue but my recruits get absolutely obliterated even when facing low-tier mountain clansmen and Wildlings.

Enemies also seem to be able to take far more damage than the PC. Even with iron flesh and strength leveled quite high, I always seem to die in two or three hits while some low level enemies can take 5 or 6. I adjusted the incoming damage to the player down to the easiest setting and it makes things a little more fair, but making money is still a problem.

It just feels a lot more grindy than Native, and I don't really care for grind or obscene difficulty. I don't play games to get stressed and angry, I play them to have fun. I get enough stress in my daily life and I don't need every game to kick my ***.

Still, I can't stop coming back to this mod, even though it usually just results in me rage quitting. The craftsmanship here is superb, but I wish the developers had made it less difficult.

I've also encountered these economic balancing issues. Not only is tax efficiency apparently quite low for every nation I've played as, but administration costs are astronomical.

This issue has persisted from earlier versions and no amount of in-game waiting has remedied it. Even as non-superpowers I had this issue. The only way to solve it was to max out taxes and set every slider to 0%, which barely enabled me to make a profit.

AI nations were encountering this issue too and were going broke constantly.

I have not modified my game in any way. It is an up-to-date vanilla installation with all DLC.

How do I play 256 player matches with this mod?

These look great, but I'd kill for the Galactic Civil War era models too!

To anyone who cannot get the commands to appear, you probably have the wrong version of the 1.3 patch.

The latest is available in the Mediafire link in the "Known Issues and Troubleshooting" section in the "Articles" tab.

That worked for me.

Also, a note for the Dev (if they are still listening): Maybe you should approach the author of Galactic Civil War II to see if they'd let you use their models and skins?

It's a good mod quality wise, but there are quite a few balancing issues.

The First Order is OP, there's simply no other way to put it. It boils down to their special units (the Flame Trooper and the one with the auto-blaster) being way too effective while the Resistance's special units are worthless.

The Resistance basically has no heavy weapons presence on the ground, which means they tend to get slaughtered.

Also, the Flame Trooper's flame is way too powerful. If he manages to hit you with just one short burst, it will continue to drain all of your health even if you aren't directly being hit by him. I know his short range is meant to offset this, but that only helps on large maps. Maps like Naboo and Polis Massa are almost impossible to play as the Resistance because of this.

As for the guy with the auto-rifle, I found that the shots were a little too accurate. There needs to be more spread. When playing as that class, I noticed that I had a greater chance to hit the enemy at a distance than even a standard trooper, because my gun was just accurate enough when combined with the sheer volume of fire.

Also, there's a bug with the Resistance's hover-tank thing. If you try to turn to fast, the model collides with the ground and stops you and place. I think it needs to be elevated a little higher off the ground.

Well, I reinstalled the game and I am still getting the same problem. The US in the 1946 start date instantly starts losing about 8600 bucks a day with the default sliders, and nothing I do can combat it. Waiting a few years does nothing, and all of my puppet states keep begging for money because everyone is going broke.

The problem obviously has something to do with the military stockpile, but getting rid of my units has done nothing. I also tried the 1992 start and it is even worse, with the US spending 33,800 daily.

I am starting to get really frustrated with this. Is there ANYTHING special I need to do to install the mod besides putting it in the mod folder?

I am indeed using the latest Github version. I'll try reinstalling Victoria 2. Maybe I ****** up the base game files or something.

I waited a few in-game years and just cheated my way to some money, but nothing ever changed.

Apparently almost everyone is losing funds, because I kept getting asked for bailouts and loans daily. The only faction that has money is the Soviet Union, which seems to have an obscene amount.

I know this isn't just an in-game economy problem. This is an actual bug. I haven't tried the 1992 scenario yet, though.

I seem to be having an issue with this mod. When I start as the United States, I am instantly hemorrhaging money, and nothing I do can stop it. I lose thousands a day even if my taxes are at maximum, all my sliders are set to the lowest, and all my armies and navies are disbanded.

I can't imagine it is supposed to be like this, so what gives? I tried both the ModDB version and the Github version and both have the same issue.
