Yup, it didn't seem right as to how you die in ShoC while being under the brain scorcher or something. You just fell like a sack of potatoes(same story with controller) whilist they assumed control of other NPC's (just some mods, i'm not sure if the original has it. Just pre-spawned factions i.e. "Zombified")
