It sure is pleasing coming back once in a while to find a mod worthy of playing. Serves as a nice reminder of the fact that Amnesian modding community isn't dead yet somehow after 8 years since the release of the first game. Simulacrum is definitely one of the mods mentioning when recommending the best Amnesia has to offer. Complex level design, lack of jumpscares, presence of the storyline, which I didn't get, but nonetheless. And, of course, the most important element of Amnesian success- the atmosphere. The atmosphere is oozing throughout the mod similarly to the slime of the Shadow slowly consuming the hallways of the original game.

Nice mapping aside, the puzzles that forced me to watch the walkthrough video over and over again really did let this one down

That was a gorgeous experience! Quite possibly my favourite story after key to freedom, the great work and things in the night. Phenomenal work, absolutely worth the wait!

I applaud you for creating one of the finest, most challenging, creative, atmospheric and lengthy custom stories out there. I consider this to be the best custom story of 2015.

Brilliant little custom story. It is rare to find such outstanding gems in the modding community. The most important factor of Amnesia in general is the haunting atmosphere, and this particular story exhibited plenty of such. A little too short, however and also the conclusion of the story is a bit confusing.

This is really atmospheric and enjoyable, even though it gets a bit repetitive as it goes along. Keep up the great work.

The game's concept and general idea is extremely disturbing, but I believe that if it would have been longer it would have been more effective. Otherwise the idea is fantastic and as a matter of fact I believe that this is one of the few Amnesia custom stories that has moved me anyhow.

Fantastic game! Simply brilliant! There really is not much to say apart from the fact that it is worth all the praise it gets.The mapping, the voice acting, the atmosphere and, most importantly, the horror are all top-notch.

amazing! Absolutely amazing! This story contains one the best level designs in amnesia modding community along with solid atmosphere, carefully placed scares and a few inventive ideas, such as lions with glowing eyes or the mysterious ghostly statue that continually follows the protagonist around the mansion as the story progresses. The mood that is created by the climate of the ancient building is mesmerizing. I strongly recommend this one to the veteran players of Amnesia!
