Portal Epic Edition was just a fun little project I did to relieve some stress while working on Catalyst, Portal Epic Edition at this point is handled by it's own development team seperately from me.

We announced a media showcase for Q1 2022 showcasing one of our brand new styles! We've cancelled our Construction Style showcase in favour of something much more achievable to show off :)

Nope! It’s the same Aperture you know and love from the games, no alternate universe trickery here! Desolation takes place after the events of Portal 2, and you’ll get to explore new parts of it’s history not seen before. ;) What Foxflame52 is referring to is our Industrial style, a transitionary period from Old to New Aperture.
There is no planned release date at the moment since it is way too early to decide, we hope to release sometime in the 2020s though :)

I do believe our antagonist might surprise people, after all, it’s still a classic tried and tested formula, but our spin on it and the way it’s been integrated into the story is something 100% unique.

Play Mind Escape to your heart’s content! Mind Escape is what Conversion ended up turning into in the end so if you wish to see what it became, go ahead! (Although it doesn’t explain the aesthetic change...) Catalyst however will be completely original and not base itself off Conversion’s story or maps, we have our own story, characters, and most importantly, an actual explanation for the transition from Portal 1 to Portal 2.
Indeed, it also helps with making a cohesive story that’s the most fleshed out that it could be!
We’ve decided to NOT go with the non-linear format, it felt over-ambitious for a Portal project to have multiple endings. Catalyst will just have one ending as per standard Portal projects. (Conversion’s non-linear format wasn’t done the best either...)
Description was modified a bit to update the logo to a better version and a rewrite of the heads up regarding our relation to Conversion, we’re just getting ready for our major update on October 11 :)
