I do not give this project a 10 lightly, it is an absolutly phenomenal work of skill and possibly one of the best written Half-Life mods I've played.
Without spoiling anything I certaintly hope however more episodes there are do not skip the rest of the uprising, I'd love if the project in it's totality covered all seven days (and maybe even the events up until the Citadel's destruction but that may be a pipe dream) in one way or another.
The writing really didn't grab me at all but the craftsmanship of this mod is simply outstanding, i am most impressed by the manner in wich the level design managed to capture the desolate ambiance of the original game in a completly new setting. if there is ever to be a Thunder's Leaves 2 i would really wish for it to be heavily based on the car chapter wich was of extraordinary quality.
English was pretty broken too but i always understood what they where trying to say, i say thats good enough.
I cannot belive this flew under the radar.
I dont say this lightly but a full version of this mod would be something i'd consider playing *over* the vanilla game, there is really nothing lost from vanilla Hl2 its an extremly tasteful extention and artshift
And the wasteland skybox in the sandtrap-like area... god...
I cannot think of a single way to improve these two classics, a lot of these mods level design is executed so well it would fit in the original game perfectly.
simply timeless.
I think there good ideas but overall i think it dosent do enough
The shadow man i really liked, the AI Generated creepy images too and the Sound design and soundtrack where frankly phenomenal
but the idea corrupting Portal 1 like this is an idea with more potential than was harnessed and while im not sure how my ideal "error" would look like, i think if the game gradually became unrecognisable it would have appealed to me much more.
PHE. NO. ME. NAL.
While i dont think it fits in HL's storyline at all its still a well executed and imaginative map pack, certaintly worth a playtrough and then some.
