i would strongly advise changing the walking/sprinting speed to be more realistic and fluid like insurgency, and mind you that anything reminiscent of CS:S will have people raging all day (you already know). i think we are all tired of twitchy shooters also. and i love the player skins. hardly anyone noticed they are from css, i don't mind, but you might want to change them eventually since jonneh will be all up on that and people like to complain :]

ok now i have another problem. when connecting to a 1.9.4 server it tells me that i have a different version map. ok so i delete all the .bsp files in my maps folder. now im getting another error. now it says that i use different class time tables.

i would ASSUME the remake is to make a new and improved hl1

now if it was my job to do so, i wouldn't necessarily keep the weapons the same, just because people want to re-experience all the past glory.

i would just do what works and what would fit best.

see hl1 was made a long time ago...

by todays standards, yes, some of the weapons might seem out of place, or more specifically, not convenient for the task at hand...

but see if you try to improve EVERYTHING (graphics wise) and keep it just the way it was except for making it look pretty then you fail.

i would be very disappointed to have to play a game that has the same old **** that has just been redone in source, i'd rather see a entire different game, with the same story, some things still the same, but with drastic changes.

bitching about the mp5 with the grenade launcher and m4 with the 9mm rounds is just being stupid, what you should be thinking is, "what weapon would best suit the situation while being realistic and fun?"

not "oh i want to see the mp5 because that's how i played it"

this is what i've noticed between Firearms:source And firearms 2

and i am judging this only on the image galleries. whether these galleries correctly reflect the progress that each team has made but i do know this. firearms 2 (the original firearms team right?) has already made a whole arsenal of weapons. on the other hand, firearms:source's mapper is a superb mapper, from what i can see. however, firearms2 doesn't have much when it comes to maps, even if the number of maps that firearms2 had were the same as firearmssource, the quality of the latter is much greater. and fireamrms:source basically has no weapons. i say that firearms:source should join with firearms2 to provide maps. don't think that if you do this that you will be a lesser component to the making of this mod. the last thing we need is a controversial mod that totally outranks the official one in the maps department. i don't care who thought of what first, or who has the right to what. put your goddamn egos aside and do what i said. if all that i said is actually true (about galleries reflecting progress) than i think it leaves both teams with no choice. and for firearms2, your maps are good, but they suck when compared to firearms:source, just gotta except it. now i really want to play firearms2 (that is what i would have called it anyway this has nothing to do with any of the projects) and i don't want retarded **** getting in the way of that. please...do the right thing? from what i can see, releasing two different mods of the same thing is not an option, that would just be plain retarded. NOW assuming that you agree that there shouldn't be two projects but one, please tell me that my solution, isn't the solution, and i will applaud you, but of course there must be a good argument presented to me, or i will just discard it and laugh at either one of you guys, or both of you guys. now i know i'm harsh. i probably hadn't considered the fact that you guys might have not thought of this before? well guess what, you've been informed of a very promising possibility. its called business people, compromise is always a part of it. do the "smart" thing, which is always the right thing. and what i mean by that, listen to ME. i'm really smart.
