Unfortunately I don't plan to do that, the lack of a map marker is one of the main features of the mod.

Unless you want to do it yourself, there is a guide to modding the game freely available. Docs.google.com

Otherwise, I would recommend Tom's mod or Redux instead.

They should but apart from the starting shootout at Pala and the breaking of ceasefire in Port Selao I don't think they ever fire at each other since there are no hostile patrols roaming around.

Okay, I found an annoying bug. The ATV is bugged and if you try to dismount it on an uneven surface it will just get stuck for a second and then throw you in a random direction. Putting the vanilla vehicles.gosm in seems to fix it, it's super weird. I wish there was a way to edit the length of animation for each vehicle individually, but seems to be no way to do that as far as I can tell.

I personally made the SMGs take 2-3 hits to kill at close range, depending on where you hit, aside from the head which is instant of course, and take more hits on longer ranges. I figure that's relatively realistic for 9mm and gameplay wise because I also gave them much more manageable recoil compared to rifles.

How did you make animations longer? I always wanted to make entering and exiting cars longer but I never knew there was an option for animation length.

The car, buggy and Jeep's speedos are in mph, While the Land Rover, Unimog and Cargo Truck are in kmh. Even in kmh they're way too fast.

No, since all mods pretty much change the same files. There's no need to combine them anyway since both mods do basically the same thing.

I never used ubisoft connect, but I imagine it should be the same as for any other version. First open the game directory. It should house the folders "bin" "Data_Win32" and "installers".

Simply then copy the "Data_Win32" folder from the zip file to that directory and override the files when prompted. Then go to the "CHOOSE VERSION" folder in the zip file, choose ubisoft connect and copy the "bin" folder to the game's directory and again override the files when prompted.

Just press any weapon key. I really don't know why it happens or how to remove it. And there's a bug in the tutorial if you don't take out a weapon before you answer the phone after leaving the safehouse you'll be stuck and can't interact with anything.

It is, multi-fixer works with any game modification (as far as I know.)

I would recommend starting a new game but it's not mandatory. It should work with a save game although it will take some time for some things to update (e.g weapons stats and weapon slots will remain the same until you pick up new weapons, if you already entered a vehicle it won't update until you get into another vehicle etc.) but it shouldn't crash or anything. Once you go into another section of the map most stuff will update properly.

Oh, that explains it. The game really seems to hate rebinding keys, now the mod does add two new binds, but as far as I know they shouldn't affect unrelated buttons. Just tried it myself and yeah, I can enter a car but have to press the default key to exit it.

As for head bob, the answer is, maybe? There might be a way to edit that somewhere but I and any other modder aren't aware of it.

Well it's "intended", unfortunately that mission just plucks the boats from regular patrol routes, so I can't really make any sort of exception for just that one instance. But trust me, after playing that mission several times on infamous, you really don't need .50 cal boats pummeling you while you're trying to deal with the RPG and mortar bastards.

Nah, adding features to the game is pretty much impossible as far as I know. The lenghts that you can tweak the AI to is also pretty limited, though I did change some aspects so for instance the AI will not chase you with vehicles every single time or they won't immediately notice if you stealth-kill an enemy with the machete. I still consider the AI in this game to be far better than the future games.

Well technically you CAN add "new" weapons using existing models.

Like I know the Infamous Fusion mod has a weird AR-15 shotgun, and they also remade all the DLC guns just so enemies could use them, that one gave me a headache since I couldn't figure out why edits I made to the DLC guns wouldn't apply to the enemy guns.

Dannyhl2 has somewhat managed that already, though it's really buggy from my experience. I will probably try to edit the jackal or predecessor tapes to play music...eventually, I'm still new to modding this game.

Appreciated.

Now I already did that after I made my comment, was really easy and it did "fix" it, but I don't know if it's how it's supposed to be or it's colliding with some other settings in a different .xml file, but the grenades take a really, really long time to actually land, and the arc they travel is so massive that it basically has like 20 meters of range. I can't find any instructions in the guide on how to change that but I assume it's the same as for the rocket weapons and the crossbow?

Ah that explains it, My texture settings are set to low. Weirdly enough it doesn't affect the DLC weapons.

And I know it's probably not the place to ask, but I tried combining this mod with Infamous Fusion, and thanks to your guide I somehow succeeded. Only thing is Infamous Fusion has a really buggy Mk.19 Grenade launcher and it fires like an M2, but with grenades, so finding enemy patrols with that mounted is not fun at all, and I can't figure out why it's acting like that.

Nah I downloaded it, only took me a while since my internet speed is dreadful. Already got through most of the game with it, so far I only have an issue with some weapon icons being really low quality, I suppose that is due to me playing on a lower resolution?

I haven't played it yet but this mod from it's description alone got me to reinstall Far Cry 2 again. Only gripe I have with it, and I haven't even played it, it's 2.2 GBs! Would it be possible to put the AI enhanced textures as a seperate download?

Another question, will there be another version with the default enemy AI like there was for a past version?

I'd use that one but the password from this one doesn't work.

So far it's pretty good, but funilly enough enemies are pretty slow to notice me, they take about 5 seconds to start shooting at me even if I'm right in front of them, and I can drive through outposts no problem. Not that I'm complaining, makes traveling to your objective much less agrovating, but is it deliberate?

Also in regards to enemy weapons, giving snipers rocket launchers is bad idea, they are just a pain to fight if they have explosives, and shame the enemies don't use all guns at the start, apart from pistols and the DLC weapons it seems. Also even though they take ages to notice you, they are still way too accurate.

Alright, this is officially the most ambitious mod for Far Cry 2 ever, Infamous Fusion was great but this is something else!

Hope someone reviews it one day, would be great to open up people to this game's underground modding scene.

Loving the mod, probably a tie between it and Infamous Fusion. Only thing I find is missing in Redux is the faster vehicles from Infamous, do you have any plans on making the vehicles handle more realistically?

Don't know if anyone has reported this, but the FAL seems to be indestructible, I picked one up from an enemy and it would never jam, tested it at a gun shop and shot about 200 rounds through it, nothing.
Also might just be me, but I would really prefer if the FAL didn't have the SVD sound. Not sure if that's due to making it semi-auto or deliberate, but the sniper rifle sound always scares me when I hear an NPC firing it, due to traumatic experiences in Infamous Fusion.

I'm kind of a decade late to the party, but it doesn't want to install with Unreal Gold, just doesn't recognize the game, no matter what folder I set it to.
