yep, Dev Version 2 is even worse.

-Still Crash Bandicoot explosions
-Shotgun is now an M16 that isn't even aiming in the right direction
-Grass everything (health, armor, barrels)

This mod is the pinnacle of horrible mods.

I've only played through E1M1, and noticed:
-Western HUD, with a "Luck" meter instead of Armor
-Enemies hold a pistol, drop a Kar98K, and the pickup is a basic shotgun, but reskinned
-Barrel explosions are the Crash Bandicoot "WOAH" meme (which is dead by now)

I'd say that this is a 1/10, but no. This is one of the only mods that get a 0/10 from me.
Functionally, it's just DOOM, but visually and audibly, it is a mess.
I would rather play Hunt Down the Freeman for a week straight than stare at this mess for another 5 seconds.

Hey, I'm having a bit of a problem here.

When I launch the game with the mod, it seems that all the M4 variants and the AK-47 have all been replaced with a finger gun by the name of "Default Weapon".
help?

Hey you two guys.

You need to download the mod, and also GZDoom.
GZDoom requires the original doom.wad and doom2.wad files to run, you can get those by buying the game (or by downloading, but I absolutely do not recommend this as it's illegal).

Next, you take the .pk3 file that you got in the VietDoom download, and drag it over to the GZDoom launcher to open the file. Then select "The Ultimate Doom (DOOM)" option, and the mod should launch.

Well, the mod is good... I guess?

I mean, the time put into this mod very clearly shows, the gunplay is one of the best (if not the best) in Battlefield 2 modding as far as I've seen, the maps work well, but holy crap the mod takes a lot of time to download, install, and bugfix.

Seriously, even Assassin's Creed Unity 1.0 was more stable when launching than this mod. I've been able to play this mod 100% of the time with everything working at one point, then the game turned into a black screen, crashed, and wouldn't start up, and I had to reinstall everything.

Overall, I would've given this mod a 10/10 if it wasn't for all the crashes and bugs, and having to reinstall many, many times (about 20 and counting). Currently, I'm reinstalling because the icons above characters were weird misplaces green squares, and it's taking so long I actually had the time to write this whole review.

Edit: launching this mod is like playing russian roulette with all bullets in the chamber

Alright, I'm getting really mad over a couple problems.
- When shooting into windows of buildings, below awnings or sometimes even next to the building, the bullets seem to magnetize to the roof of the house. This is especially bad in the beginning of Assault.
- Randomly, when shooting at enemies, the bullets seem to fly into the floor. I've seen that this bug is happening when hidden behind sandbags and such, which would be fairly easy to fix; just don't hide behind sandbags. But it seems to happen randomly at times.
- Talking about sandbags, when enemies are hidden behind them, they're pretty much impossible to shoot, as I always seem to hit the sandbag, even while aiming at their head when they're standing.

alright, I gotta ask, what are the sys req for the mod? I have a really bad PC, and don't know whether I should run this, or the performance friendly version instead (if I would even be able to run the mod at all)

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ 2.51 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT 512 MB (DirectX 10)
RAM: 4 GB GDDR5

I know my computer is horrible, but if it's even a little close to the performance version, I'll try that out and see how it works.

Edit: this version kinda works? It didn't even boot at first, but I tried the old fix for 1.5b Special Edition, and it booted up into the first loading screen, says some text on the top right, loading screen changes from vanilla to this 3D-looking style, but it doesn't load into the main menu.

Edit 2: Tried the lite version with the fix, it worked, but the game ran at like 15-20 fps even on lowest details. Welp, here ends my dumb ramble at trying out a mod that's too good for my PC. Guess I can't run it.

Guys, go to where your game files are. For example, mine are at D://Games/Far Cry 3/. Then, you want to go into data_win32. You should see the patch.dat and patch.fat files there. Take the modded patch files, and replace the old ones.
