Wow, I cannot even complete text chamber 1. I tried the crouch jump thing, to no avail. I feel stupid. Plus, I watch videos of people in the same test chamber, and theirs is different.

the portal rim seems to appear before the particles contact the surface. I really like the swirling effect of the closed portals though

skin texture is a bit weird... I like the detail on the 1911, even though it's reversed. dont forget the logo, and the text that says "Caution: Capable of firing with magazine removed"

Wow, the reload speed is way too fast. No one can lift, pull, advance, and set a bolt in 1/10th of a second. Reloading a bolt-action rifle requires 4 separate and distinct movements, and the reloading hand has to be lifted from trigger to bolt, adding to the reload time. I'm not trying to be the "historically accurate" guy, but for real that superhuman reload speed kinda ruins the setting.

I would also like to know where exactly to install these. In my HauntedGame\published folder, there are mutiple map folders. Can I just create another folder and put the maps and ini files in there?

this has got to be from the GC version. If this is from a pre-alpha build of the mod, then great job!

ok, so I figured it out myself. here's how to install properly.

1) download Crucible installer
2) backup this file: Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config\UTCustomChar.ini
3) run Crucible installer
4) move the RuneStorm folder from Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\ to Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\CxGame\
5) Make a shortcut to UT3 with the line " -mod=..\CxGame"

for example, a shortcut of a Steam install of UT3 configured to run Crucible will have this in the Target line: "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\unreal tournament 3\Binaries\UT3.exe" -mod=..\CxGame

heres the thing, I have some leftover files and I'm not sure where they should go. CH_Cx_Crusader.int, CH_Cx_Skeleton.int, and CH_Cx_Zombie.int

so any word on a properly packed installer? Or better yet a manual install (ZIP or RAR file)?? I'd love to get this one working.

Better yet, if someone could give me the correct file paths (TurdDrive, your post was a bit confusing) then I will try to work it out myself

ouch, I saw the "Released" byline and thought it was finished! Thats a bit misleading, since only Human Error is out. Oh well, thats still good news!

thanks! still get the same problem. I'm going to try the Crucible Weapons pack without the rest of the mod, and see how that works.

yeah, i downloaded twice before figuring out where the problem stemmed from. Weird thing is that when I tried to do a steam backup of UT3, my computer crashed -- no BSOD, no error, it just turned off. It happened twice before I just compressed my entire vanilla UT3 install into a RAR file, so next time I have to reinstall I don't have to download. I suggest anyone that uses UT3 mods should do the same thing

I don't think it's Oblivion OST... I really want to know where the music is from. I make music for games and my skill level is amateur at best. But if this score is original, then the composer/producer deserves commendation! I can't imagine doing symphonic annotation like that in Cubase... Or PT or any other workstation. If that is not live, then the detail is amazing!

well i did as you said, and UT3 works fine. but there are no weapon animations or sounds in crucible, and in some weaponds pressing MOUSE1 changes to 3rd person view.

so in order to play both Crucible and Unreal Tournament 3, I have to delete my customchar.ini file every time? And if I have a Runestorm folder in both UTGAME and CXGAME then I can switch back and forth without a problem?

i installed, can run crucible seperately (great job by the way!) but after install UT3 freezes on map loading. Crucible works great, but apparently it "broke" UT3. I know for sure because after I removed the crucible content from my documents\my games\unreal tournament 3\ the problem disappeared.

you can enter a 3rd person camera by entering the console (either ~ key, or F10, or TAB depending on your game) and typing "behindview 1" without the quotes. But apparently it doesnt work on some servers, and even then it doesnt look as nice as this mod does -- the camera is farther back and a bit higher
