ZPS is still a thing? By the gods, I haven't even thought about the Source engine since probably 2008.
No. Not all AKMs/AKMSes and AK-74 variants have scope rails. The AKMN and AKML had scope rails, as did the AKS-74N and AKS-74UN.
All that technobullshit aside, this is the Zone. Who's to say the scope rail wasn't added after-the-fact? From a realism standpoint, people in the Zone don't often get shiny new equipment, so they make do with what they have. Adding a scope rail to an existing non-railed receiver is as simple as putting a few rivets (or it can be done with screws) in, after making sure the damn thing is straight, of course.

As I can tell the only visual difference is the adjustable cheek rest on the stock, which you won't even ******* see from first-person view. Way to go, dickweed. Bitching about the lack of a feature that you won't even get to see 90% of the time.
Furthermore, BioShocker, every single post I've read from you has been a massive clusterfuck of bitching about trivial **** and then promptly getting shot down by the people that actually know what they're talking about, unlike you.
I don't mind the metal mags. I'm just glad he got the curvature right, whereas the original STALKER game really did look like a 7.62x39mm stamped mag.
So here's a stupid question. Why the hell is Easy AI practically non-existent (in that they barely do anything) yet the next difficulty up, Medium, is like it gets jacked all the way up to Hard? I've noticed this problem in a few mods already. Seriously people, is it really that hard to make "Medium" balanced between Easy and Hard? Was really starting to like this mod, too. :/
Yeah, except for the fact that your eye doesn't zoom in on everything that's around the scope, too.
This Kodak moment proudly presented by SkyNet.
Spoiler alert: That's not an M16. The USAS shotgun has an integral carry handle - that is to say, you can' take it off like on any model M16 after the A2. There's no rail under that carry handle to put the EOTech on, thus, mounting it on top of the carry handle is the only option for that particular weapon.
That aside, yes, it is annoying when all the optics are mounted on top of a carry handle instead of the rail under it (i.e. M16A3/A4, M4A1, et al)
It's got a solid stock, so... It's an A3.
Also, the size of the handguard makes me think it's got an integral light.
My biggest bitch there is that almost every STALKER mod I've seen that uses EOTechs don't actually illuminate the crosshair like they're supposed to. :/
"...For the lone patrol, with his life in his hand, is hunting for blood, in No Man's Land."
Yo dawg, we heard you like Stalker, so we put a stalker in your Stalker so you can stalk while you stalk...
Lookin' good. Better finish the game soon, though, because if Obama has his way, your game will be the only place these missiles will exist. lol
In the patch it says you have the option of re-enabling the minimap. Is this possible in the 1.05 release too? If so, I'd like to know how to do it.. Finding dead bodies in all that grass is getting to be a pain. Not to mention finding stashes in underground areas or other areas that don't have PDA maps.
I noticed the sleeping bag in Oblivion Lost has the same shaking/spinning wildly problem too. Can't honestly say I know what the problem is.
The model creator is not a douche. He's looking out for number 1. It's all too common on the internet for people to steal others' work and claim it as their own. As an artist, with many friends who are also artists, I know this all too well.
In response to SalmonGod, I think part of the problem is 1.5 doesn't come with any documentation. No credits are given to anyone, anywhere. Which implies that Holden is trying to take credit for every single file, song, model, etc. in the entire mod regardless of whether or not he made it. Now if I didn't already know this wasn't intentional I would have called Holden out for being a thief, or another equally-descriptive term for what people do when they steal things and try to pretend they made them..
Moral of this story? When making mods, it's usually a good idea to give credit where credit is due. Otherwise you'll have random people coming in and ******** down your neck regardless of whether or not they can actually have anything done about it.
He's right. Based on the color of the wood I'm going to assume it's the AKMS, because the in-game AKMS's handguard has more red in it than the in-game AKM's.
Actually, aside from outright selling our weapons to today's allies (who, funnily enough, end up enemies tomorrow) - i.e. Iran - our enemies can easily get ahold of our own firepower because when we leave a conflict zone, we usually leave our **** there too. It's cheaper to just buy new stock than to ship it back home, more often than not.
CADPAT is a beautiful pattern. Too bad it's so expensive here in the States..
