I gave it a try, why not? awful review or not, I should try for myself... well, the "build" mechanics too redalertish for a tiberium game, and some aspects too cartoony, but it was ok until the god awful graphics and and incoming attack of nod's legged ***** tanks... at that point I unistalled my friend's copy and I decided not to trash all the money I would have trashed without testing.

Come on, I expect this level of graphics, glitches and ****** design in a Stalin vs Martins 2, which would have been fun, but not in a "Serious business C&C tiberium game webringyoutheENDoftiberiumsaga".

"First shoot, then ask", If you have watched other mods, all the top 5-10 mods of C&C:ZH were marked as updated, two weeks ago it happened exactly the same and all the other important mods were marked as updated, but if you have gone to other mod pages, you'd have noticed that in Red alert 2 mods and BfME 2: RotWK, Battlefield 2, 1945 and 2142, this already happened.

It would be easy to think that is a little bugs from Moddb, but you know, you could think that a misterious update of all the important mods in the same exact time, is a mean SWR conspiracy to laught on their fans...

Amazing models, and modern warfare mod set far from USA geopolitical sphere, Russia vs China and maybe India, specially the third rising power of the list, would be a nice and original mod.

But the MIGs from Boris strike are the classic Red Alert 2 Boris' airstrike, in that point I can a assure you that there is a no-no improve, because they made Rise of the Red plans inspired in some old-school Command and Conquer details.

They eliminated the Eurofighter because they wanted to have an advanced faction without "traditional" air power from the field, so they must support the troops with artillery and british with the Goshawk (and their humongous artillery too).

And China in zero hour is not based on real China, their philosophy in generals is to produce cheap - nearly outdated material in high quantities with few new equipment, so they have the MIGs and not the J-10 in example, I doubt they would lose their iconic airfighter in general universe and gain a fighter that would match easily Berkut and Raptor when China here works with the "quantity over quality"

At first I couldn't make work the mod, so I searched in Moddb and forum, shockwave is not a permanent mod, so you must assure that every file and the folder of your zero-hour copy must have the "read only" option in <properties> (right click over the file) un-checked so you and the mod would change whathever you want -> that from the SWR team advice, from me, I was having troubles running the game, so I touched here and there in the folder and icon untill I discover that, unless you check the -privilege level-, again in <properties --> compatibility> to -run as administrator- (watch the pic: Img836.imageshack.us ; and yes, I'm spanish, but the option should be in the same position :p) - IN THE ZERO-HOUR EXE, THE MOD EXE AND THE DESKPOT ICON, I can't assure if only both .exe files in the original folder are checked, W7 would play the mod with the shortcuts not checked, so change it too.

I'm playing Shockwave, Rise of the Reds, Contra, and other non-permanent mods in W7 with those changes, and I hope it would help you.
