Well that's a new one 😅. Would you mind telling me all the steps you got past leading up to this void? Does the mod appear in your load order properly? Do the loading screens appear properly? Do you have any crashes? Also, which version are you playing on and are you using any other mods in addition to this one? Also, did you copy both the .mod file and the main folder into the mod folder in your documents folders?

Just an update for everyone, we managed to help this commenter over on our discord server. For anyone who shares this issue, we've learned that the mod sometimes bugs out and has trouble loading saves straight from the launcher and from the title page. To get around this issue, you guys need to load your save from the custom game/character selection screen. Once done, you'll be able to continue your game without issue. Good luck Everyone 😁!

Hi Viranto!

I understand the confusion and I don't blame you for it. You need to connect your steam account to paradox and get an access key to be able to roll the game back bevore version 3.0.1.1. If you use the beta key you'll be able to access any version of CK2 all the way back to vanilla. Best of luck to you! :)

CDI characters are comming. Actually, Koridai, Gamelon, and Tolemac are already integrated kingdoms/empires in the game, so if you want, you can play in those territories already. I'm probobly going to add the characters and events that we saw in the CDI games around the historical events of Zelda 2, so it's a bit far down on the to-do list, but they are nonetheless comming. Thank you for your comment :)

So, the mod is up but my introduction article is still awaiting approval to appear for you guys. In the meantime, in the event that the discord link to the Triforce Kings server from the article doesn't work, here is another one. I look forward to hearing from you all!

I figured that I'd give you guys an update so you have a few days to get prepared. I plan on uploading the 1.0 on the 20th of this month ;). I'll be releasing a TON of info with the 1.0 as well as opening up the discord server to the public, so I hope to see you guys very soon. I'm grateful for your patience!

I'm happy to hear that you're interested! And yes, I will be releasing this before Christmas. We have been making good progress and, as it stands, there are only a few things left to do before I clean everything up and publish a 1.0. Keep an eye out ;)

I have been holding off on releasing the mod for a bit now. As it stands I am just waiting on the flags before I publish. I initially expected them to be done by mid-September, but as it stands that is not the case. Since my last update, I have gotten a few close friends to help me out and start a little team for this mod, but since this is a volunteer project, I can't really put any hard deadlines on them. Since it would be unrealistic for me to expect all of the flags in the game to be done for this 1.0 release (there are literally around 1000 flags to be done), I am going to settle with just the empire flags and a handful of kingdom flags for the 1.0, so hopefully, that will put us at a possible release for sometime around or before Christmas. I apologize for the delays, but I want to make sure that this mod is as good as I can possibly make it for a 1.0. I hope that clears up the confusion. When I release the 1.0 I will be dumping a lot more info on you guys and I will have a discord server set up for general chat, multiplayer, and development questions. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, I appreciate them :)

This is actually one of the things I am working on in preparation for release. All the history files are done for the first major bookmark so at the time of release the game will be fully playable in a vanilla ck2 context. I have a friend who I will be crediting working on the flags and I would ideally like to have all the empire and major kingdom flags ready for 1.0. I will provide more info when I release the mod in the very near future.

No it's not. I make sure to make at least a little progress every day. You can expect a 1.0 version to be released around early September.

I can assure that I have been thinking deeply on every point you made and I have made up my mind on many of them. However, as it stands i will not be working on Holy Fury content until i have fully implemented a complete mod that is enjoyable from a relatively vanilla experience.

In terms of bloodlines, you can expect the house of Hyrule, Dragmire, Lorule, Lon Lon and many more. However, these are further down the road.

Great works will come with other Holy Fury content. Same with warrior lodges and Sainthood. There will be many saints.

I have expanded the map so you can actually expect places that do not exist on the main Zelda world to have landed territory. There will still be offmap powers including Subrosia, The sky, the Sacred Realm, Lorule, and some others. I have Included the Picori as landed characters with their own unique religion.

And I have actually been following Hyrule Conquest and Total war for years now. I must note that I have the intention of staying as far away from content originating from those two mods as possible, simply because many of the elements found in those mods originate with the mods creator, and out of respect for his amazing work I would like to avoid taking anything from him. On a side Note, our intentions with our respective mods likely differ. Neph seems to be working on creating his own story in a Zelda world of his own creation. My intention is simply to recreate the Zelda world as it exists in all officially released Zelda media (as well as some of the more popular and widely accepted fan theories), and then allow players to create their own stories as CK2 was meant for. Nonetheless, Neph has done some great work and I encourage everyone to check out his mods.

Yes I am going to make a note of this soon. The Holy Fury DLC, and free updates that came along with it, changed some things in CK2, and I need to learn how to mod for the new DLC. As such, Triforce Kings no longer works with the recent updates, and it should be compatible with anything including and below version 2.8.3.3. I appreciate your patience.

Yes, I am actually familiar with the dueling mechanic that you discussed. It also exists in the Geheimnisnacht mod.I was never a big fan of it, though I will consider adding later in development if players want it enough. I think Geheimnisnacht made it optional, so I may go that route.

As far as the history goes, you technically can play as far vack as Skyward Sword already. It's not a pretty sight, but if you go back to year one all Hylian culture is Skyloftian, and Hyrule castle is controlled by Gaepora from Skyward sword. Link (Madas) also leads the Knights of Skyloft, and Zelda is there too. The religion is also the Church of Hylia rather than the Church of the Three. However, going to year one basically sets you in a shattered world where every province is independant as i have not developed allot in that area of history, so good luck.

Yeah I messed up with the Gorons a bit. I accidentaly gave Darunia 100 in all stats. It will be fixed.

Im glade you like what I've done with Arcadia. I needed to include it in that first release to set the bar for what yo expect from the mod, to get people used to the idea of countries that barely exist in Zelda lore still having a geographic place in the world. You can expext more obscure countries from Zelda lore to make an appearence too ;)

Yes, I do plan on using the article feature. Soon actually.

I'm glad to hear that about your interest! And yeah I am aware of the other mod you mentioned, it's kinda why i didn't go with the more obvious name for the mod ;P

I actually haven't played the AGOT mod yet, it is probably the only other big overhaul I haven't played yet. If what you mean by solo mod is like the ability to play as a single unlanded character with the ability to duel and adventure and stuff then yes I have given it some serious thought. It is something i would love to implement once the mod is closer to completion. I will have to do some research into that. As for the sort of Hero trait with 10+ martial, yeah, that makes sense, i would imagine that it has a place. I will also probably give the various Link characters unique Link traits. I would also like to give them all reincarnation traits but I have yet to figure out how to use that trait specifically in the history files. As for the likelihood to name descendants after their ancestors, I believe that exists in either the culture or religion files, and I do plan on messing around with those more.

As for the timeline, that is also tricky. As for the adult timeline, well that is quite impossible for the most part as you can't actually mess with the actually mess with the geography of the map in-game, so a cataclysmic flood that wipes out Hyrule can't really happen. There are some things i could do, but they would probably be too immersion breaking to implement so it is probably in everyone's best interests that I hold off on the adult timeline. However, places that would exist regardless of the flood like the land that would be known as New Hyrule, will still be present, however instead of it being a Hylian colony, it will be a Lokomo empire. My reasoning being that it's geography is technically still there regardless of timeline, same for the Anouki and other inhabitants of that land. As for the child and adult timelines, I will probably be blending the two for the history files, however, it is fair that i should add some events that affect Hyrule depending on player actions. The conflict with the timeline split is actually why I made the events of the Hylian Civil War the main bookmark, so i can code like 1000 years worth of content without having to worry about the timeline split.

And don't worry this mod is still being developed and i have no reason to give up as I have really gotten a grasp of how the engine works. However, as i am in university most of my time is really on a crunch and i can only really work on the mod during holidays and the occasional week off we have every semester. The summer time is really when i will start firing out content like a machine gun as what you saw in the first release was somewhere around two months worth of stuff for roughly 7 hours a day. Actually that is probably why the guy making the other Zelda mod gave up ;P but like i said, don't worry, i am still working on it, just at a slower pace :)

Yes i do plan on doing something with the offmap power mechanic (China), however it will prove to be a little tricky. I plan on making places like the Realm of Twilight into separate smaller worlds with actual provinces. I have even implemented space into the game by using impassible mountains with a temporary stock space texture. So for the most part it seems as though the offmap power mechanic will be useless, so instead i am considering making the sacred realm the main offmap power or maybe even the Triforce itself. We will have to see when we get there :)

A Steam release will come with Version 1.0

As this is just a pre alpha of sorts I don't feel that it would be appropriate for me to release this to Steam.

Why can't you play this on a steam version though? From what I understant in order to manually install mods for a steam version you need to extract the contents or the .rar into \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod. This directory may change depending on the computer but i think that is generally the standard for steam.

Im happy to hear about your interest. I am including much more than just Ocarina of Time things. I intend to fit in everything from all areas of the Zelda franchise, including Termina.

Termina will be one of the countries created after the completion of the world Hyrule inhabits. I will likely have Termina as a seperate and isolated part of the map that is only accessible by way of the Lost Woods. I plan on doing something similar for Lorule, The Twilight Realm, The World of the Ocean King, and the other worlds in the Zelda Mythos. These additional worlds will be the 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 releases ETC.

As for the OOT bookmark, that is just the one of the settjngs planned for the mod. I intend to include most of the main games bookmarks as well as some that exist in zelda lore. OOT is just the setting that i am using as a starting off point so that i can create the rest of the mod.

I'm aware that Hyrule field has alot of provinces. I have done that intentionally for several reasons. First, i don't want the kingdom of Hyrule to be utterly obliterated by literally every other de jure faction in the world. There is alot of map to fill up and if i kept Hyrule as small as it is in OOT then it would just be way too small. To make this bigger Hyrule work I am using names from the Breath of the Wild map as it really fleshes out the map for Hyrule in a way that few games in the franchise have done. It should also be noted that, like many open world games, Hyrule is much bigger in the Lore than it is in the games. I think a perfect example of this is the Himekawa manga which goves a sense of scale to Hyrule that feels much bigger than the main games.

As far as historical characrers and ages, yup. I already have what you said planned. Most characters you see now are just placeholders till i have the map filled out. Most characters are born in 970 simply because i am not ready to mess with the history the world yet. So you can expect more historical characters with proper ages and appropriate family relations.

There will be Religious feasts and festivals for every playable religion. I just havent begun working on them yet. As far as this first release is concerned not even half of the religions have even been made. It is my intention to make religion a maajor fctor in this mod so have no worries, there will be much to play with in the future. In terms of events, again i havent begun implenting any yet. They will come at some point, but right now the map is my main focus.

Artifacts will come in future releases.

Again I thank you and appreciate your input and I hope you continue to follow this mods progress as it moves forward ;)

Lands that exist outside of the main LOZ world will come after the map has been filled up by countries that have been confirmed to exist in the same world as Hyrule in either games or the extended Canon. Most of the Human and Hylian cultures are already playable in character designer. There are also three Twili cultures available in this release.

Why is it that every time i go onto the Hyrule Total War Wiki i am always finding some sort of new content that only appears on that wiki. I tend to not be able to find the newer stuff anywhere else. For example, The page on Aunomouzan or the various updates the pages relating to the Great Sea expansion. Id thought that Great Sea was for the most part on hold till the original Hyrule Total War is over. This isn't a complaint i was just wondering where all the new info is coming from. I follow your YouTube channel and i checked the TWcenter forums and wasn't able to find much.

Also/unrelated: The Hyrule: Total War Wiki also said that there has been a great Sea demo out since December 2014. Is it still out there or is that just dated information. Should i trust the Hyrule Total War Wiki? is that something that you (Neph) moderate over or is that a fan thing?

I also want to note that All of these factions joined earlier than the Americans and were already well recognised in the war long before the Americans even joined. No hate on America but i am always a little depressed when i hear America being called the heroes when they were not the only ones who travelled to distant lands to fight for their beliefs and loyalties. That is kinda why i felt that if America deserves a faction then the other Countries present deserve them to.

Yeah i knew they were in Britain's roster. I just felt that to the extent that they are present doesn't do them much justice. There were entire battles that these factions were solely responsible for and yes, while Canada, India, and Newfoundland were a part of the British empire, they were not necessarily a part of Great Britain as a country. And at least in Canada's part there were many more than one type of unit, there still are today when it comes to the reserve corps, such as Highlanders, Fusiliers, Regular infantry and artillery, Irish, and several others. Plus in world war two you could identify individuals as French, English, or Aboriginal. in the case of the Aboriginals many tended to be their own thing as snipers. i Understand they cant add new lands that is why i thought of them as acting like an emergent faction. Can they add new towns and cities though? if that were possible you could add Canada and Newfoundland somewhere in Belgium and Japan could be on Malta as that is the only part of the Napoleonic map where they were based. Not to sure about where India could go, to be honest i'm not very well educated on India, i just know they contributed. At the very least they could be factions in the Single player custom battles. Just a thought. Then again i have never modded a Total war game so i am not an expert.

Do you have any intentions for adding The Dominion of Canada, The Dominion of Newfoundland, The Empire of Japan, or India as factions? Or at least playable in custom battles? All 4 of these factions played very important roles in the war. Canada had large involvement in Belgium and France. Newfoundlands most notable battle was the battle of Beaumont Hammel, where they were utterly slaughtered but still revered to this day (They gave everything for the war. They put so much into it that there wasnt much left at home and they eventually had to join Canada). India played a large role with Britain, and Japan whent on many naval missions all over the world in the pacific, south Africa, and Malta at the behest of Britain. Canadian units could consist of a mix of Aboriginal Native Canadian, French Canadian, and English Canadian units as those were Canada's main soldiers during the war. Aboriginals were renowned snipers. Newfoundland units could be made up of soldiers bearing a sort of mix between English Canadian and British. India could be made up of a mix of Sikh inspired and Indian units with a British inspiration and Japan could be heavily reliant on their Imperial Japanese Navy with many ship types and many of their land units could be based on naval soldiers with other infantry units making use of a more simple soldier design. i understand seting capitals for these factions could be difficult so could they possibly be Emergent factions? In essence in WW1 they could all be considered emergent factions anyway. Just an idea. if you do or dont decide to implement them it is alright with me i am grateful to be able to play this mod in any form.

Well then perhaps I will use that as a working answer for the Sheikah issue. I still don't think that I should be questioning what Neph does in the first place. I know that allot of the things work the way they do because that is the way Neph intends it to. there are valid reasons for most things and it is either to benefit the game and the way it runs, as well as to suit the lore that he is trying to create. I am not saying there are not bugs, because there are. I am just saying that not everything is without reason in this mod. That said I kinda agree with what you say in relation between the Papal states and the Sheikah because before this update Sheikah actually worked allot like the Papal states.

Knowing that there was allot of temporarily removed content of this update I don,t think that we should be worrying so mush in terms of the things that i reported in my original post as I think that Neph is fully aware of most of the things on it and we should trust that he is doing everything in his power to make the game proper and to his standards. In this case I think I need to apologise for complaining about such silly complaints as that. Neph has more important things to worry about (I.E. the game breaking bugs that he is working out that caused his reasoning for the removal of most events) Than to be worrying about our personal squabbles with the game.
