Mod looks to be ok in graphics, I didn't get far into it, as the designer departed from Valve's version of the game by making the player just KILL all the staff. I don't like being forced into doing something I find wrong. In the Valve version it was perception, the Scientists felt that the soldiers were killing everyone, the marines were just trying to kill the enemy with some units killing Civilians. Just like in Halflife the security all looked the same, but to the marines they were fat Otis'.

This mod may have had more going for it, but sadly the choice to make the player kill the scientist is not my cup of tea. I was hoping for more of Remake of Valves game, instead we get another custom mod with just winks to the original like the Azure Sheep mod.

Well first off I think its wrong of the developers to call this Azure Sheep. This is NOT a remake of Azure Sheep but a Revision of the famous mod. Now that is not to say the developers didn't do a good job in their own right, but I feel its not good to call something its really not. There are a few easter eggs and winks to the original and there is Kate. But overall it DOES NOT feel like the original mod at all. Its a good mod by itself, but I don't consider this a remake. I think stating the changed things to make it more lore friendly is just a nice way of saying the redid everything to something else. The mod plays ok, there are some bugs that make it hard to get to the next map, some maps are unrealistic and hard and over all I lost interest in the mod. To give an example in the later maps you revisit the opening location in Half Life, which sounds like a neat idea, but its not Azure Sheep. Basically play this if you just want to play a Black Mesa mod, if its to play Azure Sheep, play the original with New texture pack etc.

Well I gave this mod as shot and found it excessively hard and not fun. Having Spawning enemies popping out of nowhere behind you and having no ammo to fight Grunts with Guns is not fun. There was potential with this mod, but they blew it, The ending of falling down a broken corridor was a weak ending.

As one person said the game is brutal and not for the casual player. I downloaded both versions and after playing the first one I Decided NOT to play the second and deleted it. Your choice and game but I would have to say PASS on this mod.

Absolutely Breathtaking what the modder has done with the Ice Age engine. This is the mod to play to Hunt Dinosaurs! No issues with FPS with Grass, Great sound effects and music just a whole NEW GAME FEEL. If you are doubting to play this mod, just download and have fun because this is what Carnivores should have been!
