Yea I saw that, followed all the directions and met every requirement. So if launching the installer is all there was to it, then how come HDTP still doesn't work?

They weren't supposed to be briefed until they reached the landing zone... but they got shot down before reaching the LZ, and the commander fell out of the Osprey and died, thus Shephard and the others never got the order to kill everything including civilians.

I don't recall, but were there any instances of other marines killing civi's in Opposing force? IIRC that was only in HL1 & Blue shift. That does seem rather odd.

I have a couple suggestions regarding certain anachronisms in the HECU & Blackops arsenal. Considering the game takes place sometime in the 2000's, and these are supposed to be special forces armed with the latest gear. Firstly, would it not make sense to replace the old pineapple grenades with the modern M67? The Mk2 frag grenade was phased out way back in Nam'. I guess the devs preferred the pineapple cause it was more iconic, but this has always peeved me.

Also, the SPAS-12 seemed kinda out of place, considering it was never adopted by the US military. The Benelli M4 (designated M1014) would be much more appropriate choice. It went into service witn the marines the same year opposing force was released. I also thought it was pretty asinine how even though the SPAS-12 is dual mode, you could only use it in pump-action mode. It'd be cool to be able to use that dual mode function or just change it to semi-auto if that isn't possible. I realize this would mean two different shotguns in game (for HECU & Security guards), but I see no harm in taking such liberties. The game already has two different pistols, so why not? They use the same ammo, so it wouldn't complicate logistics.

Actually he did work for the G-Man after defeating the nihilanth. Ever play Half life: absolute redemption expansion? It takes place between Half life 1 and Half life 2.

I got to one part and a soldier is invincible. I blasted him a few dozen times with a revolver and shotgun at close range, and he didn't even show signs of low health (while 4 other soldiers are firing at me). Am i supposed to avoid him or go some other way? I'm also having major framerate issues. It's impossible to play at this level of difficulty with 5-10 FPS

I've never played a mod that was so terrible yet fun at the same time. Some advice to developer: This would be much better off as an opposing force mod. Then you wouldn't have to remodel barneys and scientists into soldiers. Fix the fade in issue like I've said earlier. Also, is it necessary to use a texture for the barbed wire? I've seen barbed wire posts in other mods, but I'm not sure if they inflicted damage if you touched them like yours did.

I got as far as the part where you get into the Apache. I got mowed down by machine guns before the fade in was over... I couldn't see ****. I even tried several times to move around and find cover somewhere but no luck... and how are the rest of them standing all over the place and I'm way in the back and I die first. They aren't even looking for cover? Please fix the fade-in issue, that is the most important. Also I would put in some stuff to recharge my armor in the military base. The rest I can deal with.
