It is a new version, older saves won't work.

In case you wonder how to get it to work, unzip the content in a folder called "ad" without quotes, copy that folder in your Quake root folder.

Enter in ad folder and right click> create shortcut. Search the engine you are running (QSS as is suggested, VKQuake works well too). In that shortcut rightclick>proprieties and add "-game ad" (without quotes) after the line in destiny. IE: "C:\Games\Quake\quakespasm-spiked-win64.exe -game ad"

If you did everything well, the words AD will be in the title screen.

First, let me say this is a beatiful mod.This is what Quake engine is fully capable in modern era.

With that said: I noticed there are some missed textures in Tears of the False God, one of the knight type enemies is completly "metalic", not sure how it happens.

Nevermind, I was using an older save and the texture got corrupted, tried again in a clean save and it was ok.

Edit 2: I tried with a clean save, but the bug seems to happen when you choose Hard + Chaos difficult.

Just Unzip and execute the launcher, even if it says there is no mod, you shouldn't need to do anything.

It works without Doom2.wad

Wadaholic, first of all Thanks for this incredible peace of work, I've been testing it for 2 years and the quality is incredible. Very polished.

Now, It is incredible that no one is talking about how good The RETRO EDITION looks (specially boomers like myself). After finishing some new boomer shooters (some of them with low poly counts made on porpouse) made me come again to TC but try the RE instead, and WOW. It looks incredible. The "PSX" vibes hit me hard on the nostalgia.

Again, thanks for TC and THANKS for TC-DC Retro Edition! I hope people how played the this one try that one, because is criminal underrated!

I really love this mod, it breath fresh air into the build engine. The only thing I I am not very fan of, is the lack of accuracy in long range of the D.Eagle and the Chainggun. that change a lot of encounters, specially in Danm I'm Good dificult, where you have to be careful with the hitscans.

The blur is an effect that I toggle off in every game. That said this mod looks great!

Hands down, one of the best mods we ever had.
