Expansion pack for Total Chaos, containing lots of content cut from the original release of the mod. Does not require 1.0 or DOOM2.WAD to play. Contains intro sequence bug fix.
Total Chaos is a total conversion mod for Doom 2 that runs on the GZDoom source port. The mod is a survival horror set on a remote island known as Fort Oasis. The island was once run by a community of coal miners which one day suddenly disappeared, leaving behind the abandoned concrete jungle to waste away. Something, clearly, has gone very wrong with this place. Upon your arrival at Fort Oasis, you receive a strange radio transmission. Someone wants to he found. Survive in 6 chapters, against over 8 horrifying fiends with a large assortment of weapons.
This is the DIRECTORS CUT of the mod. There are several major additions to this from the original mod.
This version includes NG+ mode. Code acquired at the end of the credits. It also fixes the buggy intro sequence.
Why are all the files from the previous outdated versions? (almost everything is from August 22 uploads, even readme says that it's a beta version of DC)
I need to fix the readme (was supposed to go out with this patch but I missed it!). This version fixes the intro sequence having a wrongly formatted texture getting in the way. The only change in this release is the totalchaos.pk3 file.
Excellent mod it quickly became a favorite! by the way how do I activate NG+ ?
You have to play it to the end 1 time at least. There will be a code given in order to activate NG+ next time

Hello. I have some issues with smg in the chapter 3. When i try to use it game just crashed. Any solutions? I am already reinstalled game multiple times. Didn't work.
UPD: It's also crashed after first door on the same level 3 (surface). I'm very like this mod and want to finish it. Please help me to fix it.

Linux gamers, here's how you play Total Chaos natively with gzdoom.
- download+extract totalchaos_dc_b2.zip
- download+extract gzdoom binary from gzdoom_3.6.0_amd64.deb into the gamedata dir
- download+extract freedoom2.wad from freedoom-0.12.1.zip into the gamedata dir
- create a script file in the gamedata dir, something like totalchaos.sh, mark it executable and copy/paste these two lines
#!/bin/bash
./gzdoom -config gzdoom_portable.ini -iwad freedoom2.wad -file zd_extra.pk3 doom.wad totalchaos.pk3
that's it, run the script to play. enjoy the isolation!
one last thing: edit save_dir= in the configfile, else savefiles will probably end up in ~/.config/gzdoom/

where do I have to extract the Folder to? Couldn't find an Installation Instruction, and I'm a Noob with Doom (although I have Doom 2).

By the way: When I start the Total Chaos Launcher, it says "Could not find mod directory" :(
Just Unzip and execute the launcher, even if it says there is no mod, you shouldn't need to do anything.
It works without Doom2.wad
Unfortunately not for me: The game crashes after the Intro, just before it begins. The Error Message is:
"NVIDIA Open GL Driver
Unable to recover from a kernel exception. The application must close.
Error code 3"
My System:
Nvidia GTX 780
Driver Version 352.84
Win 10 Pro (64-Bit)
Can anyone help me with this issue? :(
Problem solved. My old GPU Driver had a Bug with processing CPU tasks to GPU under OpenGL. Newer Version solved the Problem (fixed that Bug).
Wadaholic, first of all Thanks for this incredible peace of work, I've been testing it for 2 years and the quality is incredible. Very polished.
Now, It is incredible that no one is talking about how good The RETRO EDITION looks (specially boomers like myself). After finishing some new boomer shooters (some of them with low poly counts made on porpouse) made me come again to TC but try the RE instead, and WOW. It looks incredible. The "PSX" vibes hit me hard on the nostalgia.
Again, thanks for TC and THANKS for TC-DC Retro Edition! I hope people how played the this one try that one, because is criminal underrated!

What is the code for the first keypad locked door you come across? And where to normally find it?
It is right at the beginning and once you progress u cant get back to it.
This is the NG+ code, you find it at the end of the game during the credits sequence (9110)

Sorry to hear, might be a memory issue. See if the latest GZDoom build resolves this Zdoom.org
Should I start with this version? I've never played it before.
Either version is valid, this version contains a few extra levels, monsters and weapons
