Another day, another feature

Yep! That's right. Sourceports still developing. And one actually cool feature has been added at last QZDoom dev build. I talking about normal maps. Check this out.


Sometimes it looks normal, sometimes it looks bad. Probably more bad that normal, but only because i really have not time to draw normal maps for each texture. May be after some time, someone make a good pack. Anyway, idk what to do with that feature. It's like contract with devil, you never know what will you need to do with maps for feature's correct work. The main problem of this, i need actualy replace al lights at all maps to new format of lights. And this actually s... bad, because only GZDoom 3 and higher knows this lights.

So. May be, i'll extend FOGZ to 1.8 - 3.2.5 (because this feature in QZDoom only and will be in GZDoom later). Or, i'll just ignor this feature, as shadow maps. The time will show.

Hello, it's me again! I'll not say a lot of words as usuall. Just want to say, that i really glad to see, how people playing my wad. So, the update will come in this mounth, 100% sure. At this moment, i testing some elements and fixing a little things. Some global features were added, so tests are important now. Anyway, deep winter is coming, so i must to be quicker (or whatever it called... you know my relationship with english language...) :)

Aliens?

Time to time i looking in internet-search about my maps-pack. Sometimes it's really funny, how some one using screenshots and typing something like "DOWNLOAD NEW GAME - TORRENT NOW! FREE". That's wierd, you know. What the actually alliens doing like that? Whatever. I had uploaded a new version with some fixes (details in description of mod). Now i keep testing it with different mods,

For example, Aliens TC.

Btw. Thx to one user for this idea. Now gameplay more atmospheric and creepy. But, this mod working little bit (actually not little bit) wrong with my mod and crushing some elements. But, who cares :P


HOT FIXES!


I'm not a drunk, unfortunately, but my wad has some bugs, and i know about it now. Of course i have fixed them, but if you will find some more, please, send message to me (with port, mod, place, etc). I'll try to do something.

About missing textures. Lol actually 50/50 it's my mistake. Let's play the game, find it and i'll fix it (after some time of course). Hope you are not angry on me, like some people, who use Zandronum.


UPDATE!

Yep... Thats happening! I have uploaded the new version of my map-packs. Actually it's release, even if i don't feel it :). Anyway, i glad to see, that even after so long time people still not forget about my project. And now, you can just download it (btw, i have created a mod page).

Good news (unexpectedly)!

A lot of buttock pain was in this year for me. Different problems, tiredness, madness around. But, who gives a duck about this >:), because i have finished 27th and 28th maps. Also, i have made a lot of things on 29th and 30th maps, so, looks like i really close to finishing whole project. I don't know, how many time i will spend on development, but project will be released in this year at least. And that's a good news, isn't it?

P.P.S: Well... i see that people have a trouble with versions of map-packs. Let me explain one moment: i don't know what the hell happening with GZDoom, but time to time some versions work not correctly with my maps. That's sad actually, but anyway take a look at the picture:


Well, the main guess why this happened, it's different versions of OpenGL in different versions of GZDoom. The second guess, the feature, that i used was actually bug. Anyway, if you see liquids like on left side, you can use FOGZ version of my wad (Probably i'll rename it to FOOGL - For old OpenGL). In this version liquids will look like normal (but they will keep depth).



ALSO! Zandronum is not supported! Do not complain about bugs if you use it.

When some people need to relax, they going to sleep or something like this, but i never was like them. For relaxing, i doing stuff... and this is actually weird. Anyway, that's my new little random project - map for Doom. It's a copy of cs_assault from Counter Strike 1.6. Of course, it's not 100% conversion, but i really tried.

So, it's a WIP and all that i have at this moment, it's a not finished project. I need to do some tests before i can upload it, but more then this i care about only one question: anybody needs this, or it's just a junk?

Some new tests. With shaders it's looks really strange. Anyway it's external (lol) software, so don't panic It's only one more addon, which can be launched with my maps-pack..

Nothing interesting here, except new TITLEPIC. I really tried to do something epic, but after all i said simple thing: " **** this. My heart better know how to do it" :P

Also, stuck in MAP27 (somewhere half), but have some ideas already. Reworked some more old maps (bugs, decoration and logic things of course). Nothing radical :)

Play hard - play in 3D

Well today i played with some options in new GZDoom and found interesting settings. It's a 3D vision. So, may be it's looking not so great, but sometimes even level becomes "fully' 3D. That's actually was surprise for me. So, that some screenshots. Of course if you have 3D glasses, you can see it (Cpt. Obvious said to you ^^ ). Take a look:

Now about development. I almost finished all fixes on old maps, so i can give more attention on new maps and i have a lot of ideas how to do them. Anyway i fully finished 21,22,23,24 and 25-th maps and finished half of 26-th. So, let's move!
