Ok. How do i get this game to run on Windows 10?

EDIT: I managed to do it. It turns out the game's DX9 libraries can't run on Windows 10, but replacing them with dgVoodoo2's allows the game to work on modern systems.

It's probably due to the AI scaling its fleet size with yours. As your fleet is huge, their fleets will be huger to compensate. As HW2 wasn't meant to handle so many starships at once, it's gonna have an impact on the game's performance.

Game still lives. The devs said they'd announce something either near the end of 2021 or the start of 2022

All the comments that lie beneath this one were made before the game received its major updates. As of the current date of 26 June of 2018, the game is vastly improved from its admittedly bad release state, and made what's probably one of the biggest comebacks in the industry.

The other comments show an awful dark age, a remnant of the dark storm that warped people's minds with horrid hatred for several months.

From what i see, no one has commented here since October 2016, less than a month before the game received its first major update, Foundation.

In other words, i love this game, and the comments beneath are no longer relevant to the current version.

i wonder if the reason they haven't released a new English version is because

a) They are busy with the FX Galaxy mod (some of the devs also work on it)

b) they are going to release an english version for Remastered.

Umm... I shouldn't do this, but you can change your player name by going to the profile option. You should delete the image too, and replace it with one with your new IGN. That way, no one else will get mad, and will keep others from knowing of your "swashbucklery", if you know what i mean.

Also, if you can, you should buy the game, Stardock made a good game, and deserve it.

If you're gonna bring back Gamefront, please remove the ban on South America and the Middle East. That was the reason i stopped using it.
