AI needs to be seriously toned down, I had MG's in trenches, and their engineers can pop them like zits from open ground, German Grenadiers vs Brit rifleman is a fair match judging by real life, but I cant kill more than 1 with my grens.

This mod looks sexy, but I got to ask. How is it going to really implement trench warfare, ala storming and defending, as normal CoH really has a fluid style of gameplay, and the trenches that you see in CoH are either little slit trenches you can build that have to be entirely cleared before you can enter them, or prebuilt map trenches that look really cool, but dont actually offer amazing protection and cant be stormed very well. Just asking, as I am a huge Great War enthusiast and I would literally poo myself just to play CoH with Great War units. Also, will there be carrier pidgeons? XD

P.S. - Will there be cavalry? Yes, no, hint?

Bit of a prob if you want to play the brit campaign, first level the support truck cant build sappers, which it is asking you to do, making it impossible to progress past the first level.

PS: I dont mean to insult at all, but I get the feeling English isn't your first language. Some of the descriptions and notes don't sound right. Not a biggie, I could make out the meaning well enough, and getting a fan to do translations would be no problem on this site. Also, is the game going to feature larger scale games ala risk? I ask because the Vagyr techtree states something about cracking planets, which if you do put in, I will definetly come crawling back! ;)

Overall I think you did a great job on this mod. I personally dont enjoy it too much, I prefer the simulation style gameplay of HW2 over the traditional C&C style this mod implements. However, the quality is really amazing, and is probably the best done in a HW2 mod yet. I would give it a 9/10, because of a few complaints that I feel are legitimate. The first is the unclear way that construction progresses. I cant unlock the upgrade for battlecruisers, then for no apparent reason its available. Secondly, while selecting units, you cannot see which units are selected in a sidebar or tab. And finally, carriers dont have much of a purpose as you cannot pull up a docking tab, so you cannot carry units through hyperspace very well. So to summarize what I just said, dont prefer the gameplay, but the quality is amazing and I cant really complain. Its just not my cup of tea.

Most gorgeous mod ever, major kudos for working on a Halo mod for this game. It figures I guess, no.1 spaceship games and no.1 shooter, right? I would totally join your mod team if I knew squat about coding or modelling, and while if you do want to take me up on that offer please do, I may need some help here and there to learn how to skin and model and will be entirely green. Just a quick idea, the cole protocol would make UNSC ships unable to utilize navigation after being boarded, so will this be featured somehow or cut as it would be kind of annoying for the covenant players?

I cant dl the game, whenever I try to it says firefox doesnt recognize the protocol, and when I try to dl from explorer it acts like the dl link is broken. When I try to dl directly from steam nothing at all happens.

good ideas on the slow and steady approach, as this mod looks amazing so far, and i hope it really pioneers, well, it already has pioneered empires, showing the producers that you CAN undertake tanks, and machine guns, and its not going to disrupt the game. Cheers to you brave chaps willing to undertake this journey, and I hope this mod goes into the hall of fame once it comes out.

There is really no need for them to move from the Eastern Front. The eastern front was the largest theatre of the second world war, and they have plenty to keep them interested if they wish. From the fields outside Moscow to Stalingrad, Saturn, Uranus, Kursk, Kharkov, and Seelow all offer various battlefields and opportunities.

T-34's were damn good tanks, for the price of a single tiger, the USSR produced over 60 T-34's. Plus, you have to take into account out of combat factors. The tiger was unreliable, in that it would break down ever 12 kilometers or so. Then, the parts were hard to replace, meaning a simple drive jam, torn track, or shattered wheel would take up to 3 hours to fix. Then, it got bogged down a lot, due to poor brake horsepower per tonne. Even then, its sheer weight meant it could not be loaded on trains easily, or cross many bridges. And if a repair bridge or pontoon was set up to navigate a river, which Russia becomes stock with in the summer, the Tiger was entirely incapable of crossing it. Both on and off the field, it was a nightmare, but for different sides in each respect.

Wow this is a discovery, I just got bored playing CoH, watched Passchendaele and All Quiet on the Western Front, and checked for a ww1 mod. I am quite a WW1 buff, and it makes me happy to see that you guys are quite knowledgeable in relation to uniforms and engagements of the year. Personally I find ww1 more interesting than the second, as the teething periods of both sides arms race led to some interesting, wacky, and downright odd inventions. I ask how accurate artillery and gas will be utilized, as an in game artillery piece or off map barrages, and if gas will even be included. So far looks great, and certainly has my approval. if i knew the first thing about modelling, I would ask to join.
