In other news today, LucaEnzo has confirmed that the color red, used inside of a square - has been copyrighted by Supermeat Boy. For more on this subject, refer to the National Inquire. Weather at 11.

The detail in this game is amazing, without a doubt the best looking voxel world I have seen to date. I can't wait to see how this progresses. Great work!

This game has so much potential, however at the same time there are a lot of things that turn me off this game. This is a critical post, but I mean no disrespect, nor do I expect my post to affect the game; more or less I just want to point out things that others might also agree with.

*Graphics: Blocks & Realistic Texture
As others have addressed, the graphic style clashes with itself, the blocky landscape and realistic textures on swords and monsters don't mix with one another, bringing two different art styles against each other.

*UI: Messy
The font used in the UI is very off putting, it sends off a crash bandicoot vibe, and clashes with the game world with it's crooked boxes. It also takes up a significant amount of screen real estate.

*Theme: Conflicting Enemies / Items
This is actually the exact same reason I quit Minecraft as well, NOTE: I am not implying this shares anything with Minecraft, as Minecraft is inspired by Infiniminer.

Using Minecraft as an example:
Minecraft however has a conflicting theme as well, it started out strong with it's few enemies all planned and generic, complimenting the game world/design. Then suddenly Notched added pop culture enemies, slendermen being the first step in a horribly wrong direction. Later on Notch added one of the most destructive additions to his game, by actually making an ENDING in a game which has an INFINITE randomly generated world. The theme he started with gradually became more and more random, enemies conflicting with one another in design, adding hunger in a completely unrealistic game - without an option to turn it off.

Back to Block Story:
This game is roughly the same in the sense of design, the fantasy weapons in detailed graphics, the enemies with realistic textures and the blocky landscape don't match each other, the colors on said landscape also feel alien (especially looking up at the floating islands with oddly lit blue lights etc), they have completely different designs and make the game feel extremely messy, by adding several different art styles.

*Multiplayer: Lack of LAN-multiplayer
Adding the ability to create a dedicated server (host a server) or create a LAN server to play locally, would drastically improve the game because: every game is fun with friends. No matter what. I saw you were talking about making an MMO option to replace a LAN/Dedicated option, I am highly against that decisision because it forces the players into a server that they have no control over, if that server goes down no one will be able to play with each other. Most people also want to play with a couple of friends in private. The MMO aspect removes all freedom from the buyer, it WILL follow in the footsteps of Hellgate: London. They opted for MMO instead of LAN/Dedicated servers, now that game is dead, and the fans (me included) are forced to play single player. If that game had LAN I would be playing it as we speak, it would not have failed as miserably as it had. You mentioned that you did not want to compete with other games in the same genre and would instead try to go for new ground (MMO) but no matter what you do, you will still compete with the others, there are many who dislike MMO (me included) and instead of playing this, they will opt for the games that allow the player to create servers; by adding both options, you will gain both target audiences, instead of alienating one - you'll reach both.

The End:
In the end this is a taste difference, those who dislike it are in the minority; others either don't mind it, or they like the style.

Just posting my viewpoint, even though I feel it was written harshly I do not have anything against the game or the devs working on it; if this comes off as hostile or otherwise mean I apologize, that was not my intent at all. You work hard on this game and update it with a lot of content, and frequently too. You support your game, this is just intended to bring up more topics/viewpoints. Not to hate on this game.

I can't believe this is being done! I played the tech demo and was so disappointed that it wasn't finished, it would have been great. Thank you so much for working on this, I feel as though I can say that on behalf of all the fallout fans. This project is without a doubt the one I'm keeping my eye on the most.

Tracking based on design alone, though as others have said, would love to hear more. Good luck on the college stuff!

Looking from another perspective, blockaderunner and others going for this theme, have very good competition themselves. I like what I'm seeing here schema!

Is it any possibility to add multiplayer to this insanely awesome game? If so you have all my wallets.

Release a demo asap, your descriptions are making me drool!

If you add (my wishlist for every rpg):
*Infinite Randomized Worlds
*Randomized Weapons & Armor (sets would be sick!)
*Randomized Dungeons (with loot) / Cities (with npc's/merchants)
*Character Creation

I would give you all my money. FOREVER.
