Also the UDK only supports IOs and PC platforms, and Planetstorm won't fit in a phone :p

Flares = flashlight key =z if i remember correctly. They're there somewhere though. Another happy customer :D
One day. Gief monies and engine license ;p
That UDK engine version has issues with 7.1 iirc, try setting your card to 5.1 output or lower
Actually I agree, they are very slightly too tough currently. Does keep things more newbie friendly however :) As Daem points out, headshots do do something like 3x the damage though, so aim high ;)
A 'Fallen Angel' is a fairly common reference to a spaceship that has fallen out of orbit and crashed down to the planet. Not any kind of call to Satan. Thanks for your concern over my mental health however.
The inverted crucifix subliminally embedded into every texture on the other hand, I can not vouch for.
I honestly don't know how I missed it when creating the dropdown :D press ' to open the console, then type 'setres 1280x1024' without the quotes and hit enter.
It's a more efficient use of our time to add more character models than to replace the current ones ;) The current ones will be upgraded a bit, to show faces if the user chooses and perhaps when the helmet gets damaged (some test meshes were made ages ago but not implimented) Also there will be some customisation of markings. These things are already planned. A new UDK upgrade means we can do proper locational hit effects cheaply at last too.
No answers about anything yet. Been doing this too long to be tricked into making promises that might not be kept :p We are progressing well though, but with a massive amount left to do...
Well, since you asked so nicely...
...
No.
Yes, the UDK Showcase download is standalone.
I'm sorry your pc got infected. The company our site is hosted with is coming under repeated attacks, catching our stuff in the process. I'm getting our admin to come by so we can take our site offline and clean it. Then it's a matter of waiting for the hosting company to sort it's **** out :/
Treeform's 2aw stuff is hosted by a different company, and is unaffected.
The team shut up shop and disbanded after v6. The game was as good as it was going to get, and everyone was burnt out or moved on to other things (I'm now lead level design for Planetstorm: Moddb.com )
(edit-- my last two posts are in response to the questions below- reply formatting failed for some reason :s )
You'll need to fire them from within the Trench, not from outside of it.
You know, the one with the stuff in it!
The editor works in the UT3 mod version. There is zero documentation on all our custom map actors however, so you'd have to spend some time dissecting how the included ones work (basically I'm too busy to be able to teach you everything from absolute basics, sorry). A basic land map isn't hard to get running once you know how- ask questions on our forum if you get completely stuck.
np, sorry it's being a pain for you.
I assume this is the ut3 rc8 mod release? I do not know why your profile is not saving. Perhaps, if on Vista, try running it as administrator so it has unhindered read/write access. By default the game starts in mid-low detail settings. In the options (bottom-right of main menu, black text, hard to see >.< )go to the advanced graphics settings and scale everything up, notably the detail sliders (which is what has forced the guns to be blocky)
Or try the UDK showcase release, it's less buggy :)
Agreed, we're going to put a free-look key for everything, I've wanted one for months it's just a case of the coders finding time to do it.
Dates and pricing and content we're not going to comment on at this stage as we only have a rough idea of each.
Depends whether we secure a publisher deal, and how large a cut in profits we are willing to give away to third parties on top of what Epic will already take. I would love to own a disk copy of course, but at this time we do not know.
Entirely in the hands of Epic as to whether they make the UDK framework compatible. Currently, it isn't.
Yea we never really made it friendly to a new user, just one of many issues >.< Targeting is 'select best weapon' default G, target has to be under or near crosshair with line-of-sight and within range.
The UT3 version is a total conversion, not compatible with UT3 maps.
I think (never checked) that the editor works in the released ut3 mod version. If your ut3 version is steam it will be fully patched (can tell because it has the 'carbon fibre' black menus). To give you fair warning, our maps are a touch complex to build and use a lot of custom actors with no documentation.
We support 64 players, its simply that we failed to fix the bot slider in the ut3 version. Ingame open the console and type 'addbots 64' without the quotes
UT3 mod version has more bugs, even fewer players but more maps
UDK standalone version has way fewer bugs and a few more regular players on the weekend, but is only two maps.
UDK has an issue with 7.1, try setting your soundcard to 5.1 or lower.
Yea UT3 is dead, we only retain the server because it's not costing us anything :)
Grab the UDK standalone build, only two maps but htere is some online play to be had at the weekends, and the bots suck less (oh how I'm looking forward to us rewriting the AI from scratch)
