Dam it, this is just sad. The mod is awesome but no one is playing it. I guess its because theres no EU server. Hopefully this will change in the future.
Yep, lack of euro servers is basically why I don't play this at the moment.

Haha, yea, it's a very different beast to RC2 isn't it ;p Of course it's far from perfect still. Had a guy last night stop playing until a later version because he saw a couple of (minor) bugs. But I guess that's what you get when the public are exposed to every build of a game from pre-alpha :D
I can find a few bugs myself, but none really affect the gameplay at all.

Cool video but saying that all the content in the mod is meaningless right before you show it all off seems kind of... off. To me it would have felt better if you had stuck "Wheresoever tread the sons of man, war follows their wake." after "meaningless". Also, sticking "MONSTER KILL" in there was funny, but it didn't seem like you were going for funny.
Anyway, I really gotta try playing this on Sunday sometime. Problem is where I am it's at 9 am and I don't get up that early.
its not the content of the mod that is meaningless but the "setting", this is the motto of the AFF universe. like only the war matters, nothing more.
the monster kill is because the ship blew up and the player killed everyone inside, its UT3 sooo.... it was funny though ;)
more people have that problem in those timezones.....
It's from the intro text at the top of the main page. I agree it's slightly out of context there but to be fair the guys had to knock this video up on extremely short notice :)
Wish my machine could handle it, but all I get is a lot of colorful blurryness...
and the occasional black box where a weapon should be... (and by occasional, I mean about 5 out of 6 weapons)
and some stupid AI... but maybe that's just me...
Aside, this mod looks kickass and I hope it continues to be kickass...
On the options tab, there's some not very obvious buttons in the bottom right- hit 'advanced' to get the proper graphics settings controls. One of the detail sliders will rectify your weapons issues. By default it starts up in mid-low detail mode, and a 'bug' is that the (very!) low detail weapon models were only intended to be seen from a distance away, not while they're in your hand :D

A 'Fallen Angel' is a fairly common reference to a spaceship that has fallen out of orbit and crashed down to the planet. Not any kind of call to Satan. Thanks for your concern over my mental health however.
