Vein damage to hovering vehicles is probably due to engine limitations, keep in mind Veins and Veinhole monster are completely new from the mod so it won't have the same built in mechanics as the Tib Sun/Firestorm monsters seeing as they were included in the games originally. Think of the veins as just a reskinned blue tib that hurts infantry and vehicles, I know it's not supposed to be like that but, like I said and like Carnius said, engine limitations.

Ion Storms need nerfed, just about all the Scrin has to do is get 8 Stormriders and the Mothership, warp mothership into middle of enemy base, activate storm, maybe throw in the ion storm power just for extra damage, rush Stormriders and GG.

I hate Cobra spam.

Montauk could use some fine tuning, I wiped out a whole base with it and it never got promoted.

Also seems to think its weapons can shoot at a longer range than they actually can, has stopped multiple times when I told it to fire at something it had to move closer to and it just sat there giving the building the stare of death until I forced it to move closer.

(Maybe its a coding glitch where it thinks its air attack range is = to its ground attack range when in fact its not?)

Firestorm generator could use a bigger range to compensate for not being its old self, old Firestorm walls could encompass an entire base, I'd say give it the range of a construction yard's construction radius.

Nod feels a tad bit on the underpowered when comparing its super units to GDI and Scrin.

Regardless, a lot of this is new with 1.6 and I see no foreseeable end to this mod any time soon, Carnius just keeps coming up with better and better ideas.

Beh yeah, I just noticed there's only 3 maps with the Tac Archive, the two mentioned and the final campaign mission for GDI Carnius mentioned.. Wish they were on more maps, the Collosi are AMAZING, took 6 Collosi (thought there was a cap, but it let me build as many as I wanted) and a Orca Rig to wipe out a Hard difficulty Nod base on Arctic Desolation, didn't lose a single unit.

Course it did, first encounters never go well..

Expedition Fleet led by Call Me Maybe was wiped out by 3 Covy CapShips and a mixture of Frigates as I was clearing out a planet for colonization, post Rebel MAC damage didn't help :(

Can't wait for this, I just started playing SotSE 4 days ago and am loving it.

Then I go to look at mods and I see a Halo mod in progress for it, could a mega-mod-nerd/Halo-Fanboy/Massive RTS-lover ask for anymore?

Keep up the great work, love the models so far.

Would you be making the Halcyon-class Cruiser (same ship type as the Pillar of Autumn) a CapShip? Would love to run around with a level 10 one named Pillar of Autumn.. ^_^ Even if the Halcyon-class Cruisers were lore-wise considered way out-dated >_>

An unaccurate artillery bombardment mech replacing its weapon with precise targeting weapon which also lacks the range that juggernaut's long toms have.. Basically you want a titan with 3 railguns.

Railguns are precise targeting weaponry, the Artillery is bombardment at extreme range, the Titan has the precision and strength to stand through most assaults and come out on top. The Juggernaut is and has always meant to of been a ranged artillery platform able to perform saturated bombing on open areas. Replace its loadout with a railgun and you no longer have an active artillery for GDI other than the Hover LRMS, and its more of a precision artillery platform since its missiles have actual co-ordinates and can lock onto vehicles.

Assassin I know this mods still a WIP, but would you have a Tiberium Dawn mod planned out for the future? Your bringing back everything from Tiberian Sun in this mod, I'm wanting to hopefully see a Tiberium Dawn mod somewhere down the line, and with these models and the thought put into every little detail I'm kinda hoping you'll move to that for a 2nd mod so we can play the good ol' TDawn in a 3D environment rather than the 2D graphics of C&C95 xD

That breaks NOD's whole combat doctrine.

Stealth and Speed, can't do that with a huge friggin mech or vehicle.. Personally the Redeemer was a let-down for more than it being a ****** vehicle, but rather because it was a giant mech that completely broke NOD's whole concept of hit and run geurilla tactics.

Well.. GDI's using names such as the "Titan," though that name probably runs more aground with the mech's size being able shoot over tall walls.. Most of GDI's names have to do with some resemblance to a creature or the size of the vehicle. NOD nearly does the same except replace sizes with insect/arachnid names.

Wolverine - Small, viscious little peice of work.
Titan - Large/tall mech, large gun.
Mammoth Tank - Huge tank compared to the Predator/Scorpion tanks.
Orca - Able to fly through the air as smoothly as the animal Orca can swim in the ocean, and just as deadly to it's prey on both sides.

If Behemoth weren't being used I'd suggest that, since from KW the Behemoth, in my opinion, didn't fit right with a Juggernaut modified with a little bunker.. The name would definately fit with this 6 legged walking mechanized bad-***.

I pit the MKII against the Cyborg Commando 1v1 on several occasions.

Straight Forward run at eachother combat - MKII wins 4/4.
Cyborg Commando from behind - Cyborg Commando wins 3/4.
Cliff battle (Cyborn Commando up on a cliff shooting down at my MKII) - Cyborg Commando wins 2/4 fights.

I tried next with veterancies, a full blown Epic MKII will wipe the floor with the Cyborg Commando.

Keep in mind the Cyborg Commando costs.. Less than half the MKII cost? And its an Infantry unit, so its suggested you add some sort of support unit while its up "tanking" everything, so you could have artillery, banshees, or even rocket troops to back it up.

All of them have something I like and at the same time find intriguing, to even claim one is better would be dumb ignorance as what Helge stated already "more popular doesn't imply better," and down to the bone, all of them are mods, no one has the right to solidly claim which is better because they are mods of the original game itself (even if EA needs to go take a long walk off a short cliff-top), but its just plain rude to talk down a subject that you were looking through in the first place.

Now then, the model definately brings a nostalgic feeling from TS days, I don't suppose your making it rapid fire as it was in TS? but I think the aircraft "ammo" system is much different in TW than it was in TS, but hell you could probably change it, if not oh well, banshee turns into a single big shot run and fire craft :P

So what happens if you don't order it to focus fire on a single target? Do the auto-cannons, plasma beam cannons, plasma pulse cannons, and AA gun smart-target? As in, if you don't tell it to focus fire and lets take a random scenario, theres enemy infantry, an enemy vehicle, and an enemy aircraft all within firing range, will the auto-cannons fire on the infantry, the plasma weapons fire on the vehicle, and AA gun fire on the aircraft? Or does it auto-focus fire on a single unit with exception of the AA gun (like the mammoth ground to air missiles)?

On a side-note, looks like a bad-assified hunter from HL2EP2 :P

Yes Helge has announced this. Not sure if CABAL will be an added faction or replacing the scrin, would make more sense to be an added faction since he's making custom models for mainstream a CABAL Cyborgian force.

Makes me wish to hell there was a custom campaign for this mod :P

GDI's actually had air superiority with the VTOL flight capable craft they have, the Banshee was NOD's ATTEMPT to match it, though it was on par with ORCA fighters before they were fully loaded up with air to ground rockets, it's not really on par with the new firehawk AA-loadout dog-fighting.. No idea how close they should be to the Stormrider, but perhaps this could be a Rock-Paper-Scissors dog fight craft, where the Firehawk bests the Banshee, the Banshee bests the Stormrider, and the Stormrider bests the Firehawk, but thats simplifying things too much.. Either way, Carnius will handle these details with plans he probably already has since i'm roughly a day late in commenting :P

Gotta say, for one of the mods I been playin' on C&C3 for a long time now, you keep out-doing yourself and are keeping up with even the other high end C&C mods (Eclipse, TS Rising, Apocolypse, etc..), very impressive work, keep it up!

On a side node, can't wait to mow down scores of NOD infantry with this bad boy's AoE perk :3

Will the turret be affective VS both infantry and light-medium vehicles like in TS? Or will you be incorperating a solid anti-infantry defense along side this one for this to be the solid anti-vehicular defense? IMO the original TS laser defense turret is how I'd prefer it, but your making a beyond fantastic mod as it is that in my mind is matching Essence, Advanced, and Eclipse, so however it turns out I'm sure I'll love the end result. :D

Off Topic question,
So, with the whole stealth and hide while inactive thing with this turret, am I assuming you'll do the same with the SAM Missile System for NOD? Thats one thing I miss from C&C 95, the SAM Site poping up to shoot off a couple missles at a passing orca and then disappearing back into the ground when nothing is in it firing range.
