I played thru all six episodes, and this is so much smoother, diverse, and realistic than the original Wolf 3D. Excellent work.

It's a shame this hasn't gotten more attention though. Fans of Brutal Doom in particular would love it.

Sorry I'm almost a year late. Had the same problem the first time but finally got it working last night.
What you need to do first is download all CoC 1.2 RELEASE files, preferably all in one go with MEGA, then unzip it all into a new folder inside your Call of Pripyat directory. THEN run the setup. When it asks for a disk, select that new folder you just DL'd and unzipped the CoC files into. Then you should be good to go.

Any idea which folder that "bin" file might be located? Because I tried renaming the "bin" folder itself but I get the same "insert disk or select different folder" message as before. I'm sure it's something simple, too. Very frustrating..

Map 28 was...rough. Ended up putting the poor bastards out of their misery with buckshot. Made me just wanna blow the limb off of every god damn demon and let them spend their last few agonizing seconds bleeding out as revenge.

This...this is literally how I'm celebrating New Year's 2016. And with all sincerity, with this latest Brutal Doom update and the HOE Starter Pack...the modern experience of Classic DOOM is now complete.

Actually I found out the 0 (zero) key selects frag grenades and shows you the amount, so I guess it's finite after all. Still would be nice to acquire it as a clearly marked pick-up item though.

I love the frag grenade hot key feature, really comes in handy in some map areas. But one thing I might suggest is making it a pick-up item and setting a limit to how many the player can carry, because so far you have an infinite amount of grenades you can throw. If this infinite frag grenades issue is fixed it should yield more balance to game play.

This is just a suggestion though, Sgt. Mark IV. You've already earned your place as a legend amongst the mod community, and as always, thank you.

Yeah I noticed #3 as well, at least for the assault rifle. Hopefully it's not too difficult to fix.

I haven't had this much fun with this classic shooter since its original release in November 1993. Sgt. Mark IV you seriously deserve some kind of award, sir.

Don't worry about the timeline - it's better to do a thorough job than an expedient one. Wish I could contribute somehow, but I have no dev experience :(

Would some kind of donation be acceptable? Would KickStarter help any?

I would love to see your project realize fruition, regardless when you complete it. Still remember the days I played the original System Shock back in '95..

Good idea indeed. One thing I hated about a lot of FPS games is when you're only one or two bullets short of the max limit and you end up picking up like a box of 50, with most of them going to waste. Same with health pickups.

I remember playing the original SShock back in '95. While it was ahead of its time, it was generally overlooked by the gaming community back then.

But this revamp sounds promising, so count me in as a follower.

Still in the Cordon (beginning), and it took me a few minutes to figure out how to load ammo during the assault on the Bandit camp, but then realized you have to move it from your backpack to your belt first. Must not have read the readme file beforehand, but good bit of realism nonetheless.

Brutal Doom is amazing, but I think Derp even turns it up a notch or two. The weapons are insane.

I don't suppose we could get a separate comprehensive list (.txt) of all of them? The messages that come up whenever you acquire a new weapon in the game often end up being too fast to read.

Just downloaded it and installed it a little while ago, and about ten minutes into the gameplay. I definitely see an improvement of lighting and color in the environments - has a much greener, earthier appeal over vanilla Stalker: SoC.

Anyway, only just began playing, but I'd just like to extend my thanks, Dezowave.

I can totally relate, lghts. Seems like every day I have ideas swimming around in my head, but I dunno what the hell to do with them. Maybe I'll consider a Doom, HL2 or S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: SoC mod in the future tho.

Sgt. Mk. IV, this is the best DOOM mod I've played since Id released the original back in November 1993, and I do not make that claim lightly. You've taken a classic and re-invented it, without sacrificing its original qualities that made it great.

I understand you've got a lot on your plate in real life, but I appreciate all the time and effort you've put into Brutal DOOM even today. Don't worry about the impatient ones. Do what you gotta do, sir.
