I was disappointed they abandoned STA3 to make that mod instead.. Also just a pun. They left the mod unfinished, and removed so many fun abilities in their departing patch. I tried to remedy that myself, but your patch does a lot of what I was hoping. Mad props on all the federation ship spawn abilities lol
Been experimenting adding assets from this mod to STA3. Managed to get the April Discovery and Spore Drive working, with sound effects. LMK if you want the files for that? That was a super rewarding experiment. Here it is in action Youtube.com

that would be awesome. This mod has so many underutilized or unused entities/meshes. I could possibly add two factions with it. Pirate and Federation Alliances. With the meshes I linked in my other comment too. I could work it off this submod.
But yes, please let me know if you figure out how factions can be added. It's not anywhere on the internet that I could find.

I think you made the klingon titan invincible. I think its the shield recovery. A full fleet of mine couldn't knock a point off its shield

This less than stellar mod Stellar Parallax is chalk full of assets that can be imported into STA3. I managed to restore the Crossfield class, Archer Enterprise and many others using meshes from it. It contains some Andorian & Vulcan ships. Really a lot to choose from. But enough to make a "Federation Alliances" mod that contains trill, andorian, vulcan etc
Just be warned, the AXA meshes can break the game. I think they are unfinished. I would recommend you copy/paste entities from STA3 and simply link it to a new mesh and change some stats to reflect the ship.
yes (that was me). How in the world did you add another faction? Had been wanting to know. I may add a "Pirate" faction. Maybe we can link up somehow. You have a much better understanding of Faction Balance. Also, you did a lot of the same stuff I did, like restoring ship spawning abilities and bolstering defenses.. Been adding to your mod a bit. Making an OP Borg version too.
Give me a list of the ships you want! I got you. I would just have to add it to a current faction. In my experience adding a faction is much more difficult and idk how, but I can mod any ship, any stat, whatever.
there's a lot improved but a lot was ruined. borg have been nerfed to the ground, minor factions are bugged, cardassians cant build envoys, lost sectors removed, fun abilities removed. this patch was super pvp focused and took so much fun out of the game. shame it looks better, cus i'd rather play the uprising version of this mod. its actually less buggy even if its not so balanced. cardassians and borg are unplayable now imo
the cardassians are bugged, you cant build envoys, so no minor factions for them. AI can build em tho. Also in general the minor factions often bug out so your embassy does not claim them. is there hope for a bug fix patch?

So far, i think this was not a good update. balanced yes, but a lot of fun was taken out. Fun abilities removed, borg nerfed and broken, lost sectors with claimable ships removed. it runs better and the animations are better but damn, you gutted a lot of what made this game fun. Also the federation no longer has access to the higher tier fighters but they are still listed. how can this be the final update? Major dissapointment
this mod is amazing. i have like, 1000 hours on it. eagerly awaiting the new update. please release it! From what you guys are saying, it seems ready enough. at least release it like a beta
you guys have made a dream come true with this mod. Thank you all so much for making this mod and continuing to support it.
I have over 1000 hours on this mod alone. It's that fun and nostalgic.
