Hey all. My name is Jason Free (or icemann on various internet forums), I do work in game design and programming and hope to get into the games industry at some point. I love fps, rpg, action and simulation games above others (though there's games in all that I enjoy).

Just came across this mod (as was mentioned in moddb's monthly mod madness) and was reading through the updates from 2011 to now in 2022. What a ride you guys have had.

So what is the state of things?

So reading your updates, there is episodes:
1.
2.
3.
4.

Episodes 1, 3 and 4 sound like their done is that right? With the most issues being around episode 2. Are all the intended enemies and new weapons in the game now? New music? Scripting of events etc etc?

I'm a huge fan of Unreal 1. Quite enjoyed the Operation Na Pali mod, so always up for more Unreal 1 content if it's decent.

Bug:

Any Protectron's you hack into helping you, in the Vault defense bit, will follow you to any map/level. So fast forward to where I'm in the game now (left the vault and had to go to some cabin). I still have those 6 protectron's following spawning every time a map loads. Makes for some very easy battles, since they obliterate everything.

For me, the game freezes whenever I try to leave the vault.

Tried twice. It just sits on the loading screen forever. Left it for 5 minutes the first time.

3rd time lucky. Made it past the load screen on 3rd attempt.

Final boss is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too over powered. I had to put god mode on and use nearly every bit of ammo I had on him. Was down to my shotgun. And the boss's helicopter was all black which is not how I remember that bit going. Appeared to be night time. But on my last play through of this, that bit was in day time. Even other video plays of this mod have that bit happening in the day. Was that changed in this version?

I could have sworn there was a bit in the hospital with a female zombie killing babies as well. Only heard that off screen when I was there.

Am I the only one getting crashes whenever those hand enemies are on screen? Sometimes they crash the game instantly, and other times it takes a few seconds so you'll have a chance to kill them quickly before the crash occurs.

I hope your not adding in the settlement stuff from Fallout 4. Fallout New Vegas did not have that, and I'd FAR prefer a more pure straight forward porting over of NV to the Fallout 4 engine, rather than getting it with additions.

Or if your completely adamant about having it, then have that in a separate version of the mod so that we your user base can choose for ourselves. That's only fair.

Please note that we will be releasing a new version soon with the following changes/additions in response to requests from users:

* Level completion times shown next to level names in the level select screen
* Redefine-able controls + joystick support

Early versions of the game ran in Linux, so that may be a distinct possibility at a later stage.
