Pretty great but I hate what he has done with the "re-balanced" levels. He should have made the changes visual only and kept the monster spawns the same. I also don't like that the scrags can now teleport. Good otherwise.

Good visuals, mediocre gameplay. Will give a 6 for the effort.

This COULD have been a great mod but it's unfortunately dragged down by a few bad design choices. I don't like it how the mod makes it so that unless you headshot enemies your guns often become borderline useless. Even some of the lower tier enemies now appear able to shrug off SSG blasts and that's garbage. So most of the time enemies eitehr die too fast or too slow depending on where your shots land.

The "In Hell" campaign is also a neat idea that isn't executed very well. It tries to copy the classic doom games by having larger numbers of enemies on screen but Doom 3 was never balanced for that kind of gameplay. This could have worked better if player speed was more more similar to the classics but as it stands it's too difficult to play and not that fun.

Still this mod has some nice ideas so it gets a 6/10 from me.

For a early version of the mod it's really awesome. It's what it says on the tin: A half-life version of the popular Brutal Doom mod for the original Doom games. The combat is more fun now with it being possible to shoot of limbs and blow everything to pieces. Sound and explosion effects are vastly improved as well. There are also new animations.

The only real problem I have with this mod (I can only assume this might be addressed in future releases of the mod) is that at the current moment in time it's not very well balacned. At least on normal the game is just too easy. You have WAY more ammo than you need and the new heavy machine gun is so insanely OP that after a while I just stopped using it simply so that whatever challenge the game still had would not go away completely.

Other than that, this mod is insanely fun. Can't wait to see what future versions will bring to it.
