Unfortunately, it is not possible to have settlements in custom battles. No idea as to why, I am afraid, but none of the custom maps in the mod have the ability to put settlements there toggled.

Do you have a Steam or disk installation? There is a detailed guide on the download page.
Hm. Where did you install the mod?
If you're interested in an early look at some of the features of the new version of Dominion of Men, check out the Dragon in the East, a Khand AAR.
You mean the exe? You sould be able to just open it normally.
What do you mean by all three games? I'm presuming you mean RTW, Barbarian Invasion and Alexander?
Well, you'll just need Rome Total War and Barbarian Invasion to play this. But remember to install the 1.6 patch for BI.
LotR: Total War (I presume you're talking about the mod for Alexander) is movie-based, and focuses more on the battles than the campaign map, along with recreating the battles from the movies. Thus, if I remember correctly, the campaign map is somewhat simpler. But I haven't played it in some time, so I may be wrong here.
Fourth Age on the other hand is book-based, and we try to focus on having both a fulfilling campaign experience as well as an exciting battles.
It requires you to have Barbarian Invasion installed.
Well, that would be a bit hard, since this mod takes place several hundred years after the Lord of the Rings, and by extension, the Hobbit.
Follow the instructions posted here.
Simple, it says on the main menu of the game. You need version 1.6 of Barbarian Invasion to play this.
Nice to see you're still going strong.
You didn't install the mod correctly, then.
I'm afraid I need more details to help you.
Approximate release date is the 31st of February, 2022.
There is another download on TWC. But why are you opening the exe with Winrar anyway?
Just run the file anyway, even if it doesn't recognize the publisher.
What version of Rome: Total War do you have?
Of course they will, provided your other enemies don't defeat you first. Although I imagine the Angband factions will be the 'easy mode'.
Ah, I suppose it would be more appealing to you were it full of people praising the eternal wisdom of the Valar. There's no accounting for taste I suppose.
It might be pretty but 'embalming' the land, keeping it unchanged for eternity is not something that appeals to me.
Calling it a 'hymn' indicates that somebody didn't actually listen to the lyrics. If you actually were to listen, you wouldn't find it all that praising of Feanor. (Even if it is written from his POV)
Of course you would..
Well, I'm sure the coward is having fun ruling a bunch of milksops. Or would, if his title indicated anything, other than how well he licked Manwe's boots.
Ah, yes, another reminder of what a badly conceived correctional system the Halls of Mandos are.
A little Elven realm which imploded after having spent 3 millennia in stasis. Stasis brought about by the creation of one of the House of Feanor, no less! Truly, such a great achievement.
After a little consideration of the new depths plumbed by Valar-loving sycophants, I may share a little of my own light with you. Just a little. Maybe lighten up that gilded pit you're in somewhat.
The Edain became the descendants of the Numenoreans. An interesting supposition, if I may say so myself.
'The wise and great Finarfin'? Is that what he calls himself now? But I guess the runt of the litter has to try and claim something, lest he be forgotten. Not that it worked all that well.
"Brave Finarfin ran away. Ran away, away. When danger reared its ugly head he bravely turned his tail and fled. Brave Finarfin turned about and gallantly he chickened out. Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat, Oh Brave Finarfin!"
A power that Feanor never could have imagined? Is that what you call becoming the ruler of a diminished little Elven realm in the woods?
Unlike the...rustic, less developed Edain, you mean? Pot, kettle, black.
Yes, the same House of Feanor that closed Maglor's Gap with its blood, that formed alliances with the Dwarves and Easterlings, that reclaimed swathes of eastern Beleriand.
Ah, would that be the same Galadriel that pointedly didn't participate in the fighting? Of the same House of Finarfin that only sent a small contingent to the Nirnaeth? The same House whose leader's most notable feat is running with his tail behind his legs?
Bercor, you may do what you wish with your popcorn.
He doubted my allies! Swine. Ulfang is very trustworthy! He would never betray me for a dubious offer and backstab my army at a critical moment.
Perhaps I should build a boutique or a mall at my borders. Hopefully all the blonde people will be too distracted to enter.
As I said, skilled and reliable allies. They aren't treacherous at all.
Unfortunately so, yes. I'll have to settle for Maedhros. But hey, who doesn't like Maedhros?
That's the way Noldor with balls like it. And if things go well, I'll have meatsh- sorry, valued Mannish allies to my North. And it keeps the blonde people away too, which is a big plus.
And let's not forget Angband being near cuts both ways.
Thanks for the answer!
For a moment I was afraid you'd have the atrocious Exile from Bioware's horribly bad MMO.
